Decepticon Cassettes
Beastbox |
Quote – “Speak now if you ever intend to speak again!” Function
– Decepticon Interrogation Alt Mode – Cassette (Gorilla Robot Mode)
Beastbox is a brute pure and simple.
He is also very curious about things around him, which should make him a good interrogator. However, he is overcome with rage
and violent tendencies. While interrogating a victim he is more likely to pummel them to near-death instead of actually getting
any useful information from them. His patience is severely lacking. He can record up to 6000 hours of worth of testimony,
but rarely has the chance to record more than half an hour before he beats his subjects into unconsciousness. Beastbox is
armed with two compression cannons that fire high-powered bursts of super-compressed air. The force of these air bursts can
shatter concrete and bend steel. He combines with Squawktalk to form Squawkbox. |

Buzzsaw |
Quote – “My bite is worse than my bark!” Function –
Decepticon Interrogation Alt Mode – Cassette (Condor Robot Mode)
Buzzsaw is an artist that makes art out of
his victims. He is sadistic and cruel. He loves to suddenly fly from out of nowhere and attack rapidly. He approaches with
what he considers to be sophistication and attacks with brutal precision. He is an ego-maniac in reality. His ego can be hurt
extremely easily, which can make him sulk a lot. He can be melodramatic when it comes to feeling inadequate. Buzzsaw’s
beak is as hard as a diamond and micro-serrated. He is an expert at using his beak to gouge, puncture, and slice foes. He
has superb vision and can pinpoint a thumbtack from 20 miles away (Damn…that’s far). He is equipped with twin
micro-mortar cannons on his back. One time, Buzzsaw ripped off Cutthroat’s arm with his beak. Yeah, he’s that
badass when he’s not crying in the corner. |

Frenzy |
Quote – “Let’s kick tailgate!” Function –
Decepticon Warrior Alt Mode – Cassette
There is no great Decepticon Cause, no ultimate goals of conquest,
and certainly no eventual peace for Frenzy to fight for. Frenzy fights because that’s what he loves to do. War, killing,
destruction, and ruin are what Frenzy lives for. He is hard to deal with on a personal level because of his “I wanna
fight!” attitude. He respects Soundwave and fears Megatron. He carries twin laser blasters that can be mounted on his
back. Frenzy has specialized drums within his chest that produce a powerful, high-pitched grating sound and vibration that
can disrupt the electrical flow in mechanical devices as well as shatter glass. Frenzy’s maniacal style of warfare can
be countered with calm, coolheaded logic. He is also physically weak and can be overpowered easily in a hand-to-hand fight. |

Garboil |
Quote – “Control the information, control the masses.” Function
– Decepticon Information Control Alt Mode – Cassette (Condor Robot Mode)
Garboil is part of the Cobalt
Sentries, an elite branch of the Decepticon Secret Police. The Cobalt Sentries are the “public safety unit” of
the Secret Police and deal directly with the neutral public on Cybertron (and occasionally the Autobots and their “propaganda”).
Garboil is partnered with Howlback, an enforcer. Garboil’s main function is to keep tabs on everyone of interest to
the Decepticons. He also weeds out rumors and “lies” about what the Decepticons are doing/have done. But his favorite
part of the job is pinpointing traitors and finding potential recruits for the Decepticon Secret Police. He is also in charge
of making sure that the right information is given to the Decepticon Army, even if that information is a well-constructed
pack of lies used to boost morale within the ranks. Despite being part of the Secret Police, he has very little combat abilities
or skills. His main weapon is his vocoder which allows him to produce a subsonic blast that also carries an override signal
that attacks the fear centers within the braincores of other Cybertronians. This signal causes those to hear it to experience
an uncontrolled rush of fear. Also, Garboil carries twin rapid-fire laser blasters on his back. Like all Cobalt Sentries,
his body is colored a very dark blue. |

Howlback |
Quote – “I eliminate those that would reveal the wrong things.” Function
– Decepticon Enforcer Alt Mode – Cassette (Jaguar Robot Mode)
Howlback is a member of the elite Decepticon
Secret Police force known as the Cobalt Sentries and is partnered with Garboil. The Cobalt Sentries are the public safety
unit within the Secret Police and they handle public affairs. Like all members of the Cobalt Sentries she is constructed with
an exo-structure colored a dark blue. She is a cold-blooded killer and takes her function extremely serious. She is elegant,
quick, and talented at killing. As an enforcer her job is to arrest or assassinate suspected rebels or neutral parties who
secretly support the Autobots. She also has to battle back insurgents within the streets of Cybertron if necessary. She carries
two multitrack missiles that can seek out multiple targets, based on personal energy signatures, at once and be directed to
attack whichever target Howlback wishes at that moment. However, Howlback’s most dangerous and effective weapon is her
“Feedbacker Shield”, an energy force field that absorbs energy-based attacks (such as pulse waves and plasma shots)
and redirects those same attacks back at her foes. The most useful part of this shield is that Howlback can take her time
planning when to release the energy back at her opponents as the energy just stays absorbed into the shield for several minutes
as it waits to be released back out. Her “Feedbacker Shield” can be overloaded with too much energy, causing a
massive system overload in her. This will lead to stasis-lock if Howlback is not careful. Her shield is also very energy-consuming. |

Laserbeak |
Quote – “SQUWAARK!” Function – Decepticon Spy,
Surveillance Alt Mode – Cassette (Condor Robot Mode)
Laserbeak is considered the most useful and reliable
cassette in Soundwave’s personal army. He rarely fails to complete an assignment, and he never complains. He is a superb
spy and lookout. He loves shooting at retreating foes and especially enjoys hunting down weakened Autobots who are struggling
to get off the battlefield. He is often seen sitting on the shoulder or arm of Soundwave or Megatron. He loves to perch on
someone with authority. It gives him a sense of self-satisfaction to be that well-liked. Laserbeak uses twin independently-targeting,
ruby crystal-powered laser blasters in robot mode. His blasters are precise and dangerous. He is a coward at heart and will
flee rapidly if he feels he’s in over his head. He is a fairly weak and fragile Decepticon, even when compared to other
cassettes. |

Overkill |
Quote – “Too much destruction is never enough!” Function
– Decepticon Warrior Alt Mode – Cassette (Horned T-Rex Robot Mode)
Destruction and showing off are what
Overkill lives for. He is a complete showboat and loves breaking things. But mainly he just enjoys showing off on the battlefield.
A problem for Overkill is that he isn’t that great at combat, despite his weaponry, powerful jaws, and razor-sharp claws.
He spends more time swinging his jaws around and shooting wildly than actually attacking the enemy. These displays are to
show off his potential, but in reality if he would just kill his foes he’d be much better off. He is great to use as
a diversion however. He talks way too much for his comrades’ good. In fact, everything Overkill does is in pure excess
to what’s needed. He will often be found wasting ammo on shooting already dead enemies just to make sure they are dead
and to show that he can utter destroy something. Carries twin double-motion missile launchers that lock on to the motion of
a target bigger than a baseball and explode on contact. His missile launchers make excellent targets, much to the detriment
of Overkill. |

Ratbat |
Quote – “Fuel will win this war, not bombs or lasers.” Function
– Decepticon Fuel Scout, Infiltration Alt Mode – Cassette (Bat Robot Mode)
Ratbat looks out for number
one, himself. He doesn’t believe in friends, just business partners. Soundwave, however, doesn’t fall into this
category really and is Ratbat’s only “friend”…and even then Ratbat would probably sell Soundwave up
river for a huge supply of high-grade fuel. To Ratbat everything is about efficiency, business, and profit-n-loss. He is a
shrewd businessman at heart. He is the Decepticons’ chief fuel scout and taster. He can identify just about any type
of fuel in the universe with a slight drop on his mecha-fangs. He can fly at 65 mph and make almost no noise doing so. His
wings contact a sophisticated system of fuel detection sensors. Uses twin radar-guided, free-electron laser blasters in robot
mode. Listens to Soundwave because of the business-type relationship they have forged over the years. |

Ravage |
Quote – “Rrrhhhaaahh…” Function – Decepticon
Saboteur, Infiltration Alt Mode – Cassette (Jaguar Robot Mode)
Megatron loyalist, superiorly skilled, rarely
fails, and an expert at espionage and infiltration, Ravage is one of the best Decepticon soldiers ever built. He is stealthy,
sneaky, crafty, and just downright effective. He operates best alone and with little restrains. Ravage can rarely be detected
as he blends in with shadows, has a silent step, and emits an electromagnetic emission field that blocks radar detection.
He carries twin heat-seeking missiles that pack a large amount of explosive power. Ravage’s only real weakness is his
size and that bright lights can blind him easily. Later, after the Great War, he is granted amnesty and eventually becomes
a Predacon, going through the “Maximal Upgrade”. Then he became a special agent for the Tripredacus Council. He
was defeated during the Beast Wars and thought dead. However, he returned only to be defeated and brought to justice once
more. **Cool Note: Ravage has a Russian-based accent when he speaks after the Great War – cause he is F’ing Awesome!.** |

Rumble |
Quote – “If on Decepticon turf you happen to tumble, look out
robot cause here comes Rumble!” Function – Decepticon Demolitions Alt Mode – Cassette
Rumble
loves to shake things up (yeah, that’s right, I went there). He is a rebel without much of a cause other than mayhem
and destruction. He is a tough-talker with a quick temper, but really weak and small. Despite this, he attacks headlong at
foes four times his size. He’s got a lot of guts, plus he’s not that smart either. He eagerly follows Megatron’s
orders and greatly respects the Decepticon Leader. He views Soundwave as almost a father-figure. Frenzy is his brother and
the two have an awesome relationship. His arms convert into highly-durable, powerful piledrivers that can create huge earthquakes
or be used in melee combat. Also, he has twin laser blasters that can be mounted on his back. Rumble can be easily beaten
in melee combat, but you have to be able to get through his earth-shaking first. Either that, or just blow him up from a distance. |

Slugfest |
Quote – “Expect betrayal.” Function – Decepticon
Messenger, Engine of Destruction Alt Mode – Cassette (Stegosaurus Robot Mode)
Slugfest is fairly stupid and
very paranoid. He thinks everyone is out to get him, even his closest friends. He lashes out at all things around him in destructive
rages when he feels he’s been backstabbed or badmouthed behind his back. This is both a blessing and a curse for Slugfest,
because his rage makes for some good devastation, but it also means his comrades aren’t really any better off than the
Autobots, so they have been known to attack him in retaliation. He is liked for his destructiveness, which is considerably
high. Slugfest carries twin solar-powered vibro-cannons that can snap steel beams if enough energy is stored within them.
The plates on his back can be used as a rotating chainsaw-like device of doom. He is physically slow. Also, Slugfest is a
poor choice for his job as his rages often destroy whatever message he was carrying due to the sensitivity of his recording
systems. |
![[image]](http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm266/Jonhide/Sparks%20of%20War%20-%20Character%20Images/Slugfest.jpg) |
Squawktalk |
Quote – “If you have nothing interesting to say…say it anyways!” Function
– Decepticon Translator Alt Mode – Cassette (Parrot Robot Mode)
Squawktalk knows over 250 Earth languages
as well as 6300 alien languages from around then universe. He is a dialect master and can speak in any of these languages
as though he were the species that the language originates from. He loves his function and performs it with utmost skill and
determination. Squawktalk talks a lot, rarely ever shutting up. This is highly annoying to his fellow Decepticons, especially
his partner Beastbox. Squawktalk uses two high decibel sonic boomer cannons that can destroy even protected audio receptors.
Combines with Beastbox to form Squawkbox. |
![[image]](http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm266/Jonhide/Sparks%20of%20War%20-%20Character%20Images/Squawktalk.jpg) |
Squawkbox |
Quote – “Music can be the harbinger of destruction.” Function
– Decepticon Battlefield Dissonance Alt Mode – Separated Beastbox and Squawktalk
The combined form of
Beastbox and Squawktalk is a musician, no seriously…he loves music and sound, thus creating his own songs from recorded
data. Squawkbox enjoys manipulating sound, songs, audio effects, and other likewise things. He loves his job: blasting the
Autobots with all his latest mixes of sonic song-assaults and recording the sounds of the battles currently being waged. Squawkbox
has to be careful how he uses his abilities though as it can disrupt his fellow Decepticons just as easily. This then places
him in the line of fire from both factions. He can use the weapons of both his separated forms. It is rumored that Squawkbox
was the first test in combiner technology, but this has never been proven by anyone, including Squawkbox himself. |
