Autobot Cassettes

Dial Autobot Natural Resources Scout
Alt Mode – Cassette (Iguanodon Robot Mode)
Dial is one of the best energy resource scouts the Autobots have. Built within his head is a system of highly-advance olfactory and visual scanning sensors, as well as a sonadar detection relay that can scan through solid rock to locate certain types of fuel sources. Within the palms of his hands are chemical analyzers. He is the fastest of all land-based Cassettes, whether Autobot or Decepticon, able to run at nearly 120 mph. Generally a good-natured and well-liked Autobot, he is very loyal to Blaster and the Autobot Cause. He takes his assignments very seriously, some times too seriously. He can become obsessed with the details within his missions that he can take way too long to complete a mission successfully. Dial carries twin dual-barreled laser cannons attached to his sides when in robot mode.

Eject Autobot Electronic Surveillance
Alt Mode – Cassette
The three most said phrases by Eject are: “Touchdown!”, “That was a fast break!”, and “Are you ready for some football!?” Eject is an Earthen sports fanatic to the extreme. He spends countless hours watching football, baseball, hockey, basketball, and just about every other sport you could imagine. He litters his speech patterns with human sports slang. Most of the other Autobots aren’t sure what he is saying, but love his enthusiasm and cheerful nature. Eject is often off watching sports rather than doing his job. This is very irritating to his fellow Autobots, especially his brother, Rewind and his keeper, Blaster. While in robot form he uses two electrical overload rifles that can attach to his forearms or be used as handheld weapons. The overload rifles fire highly-condensed static electricity that overloads sensitive circuitry and conduits. In cassette mode, Eject can record all surrounding radio and TV transmissions, as well as tap telephones and decode scrambled signals. He is extremely useful if he can stay focused on task.

Grand Slam Autobot Audio Correspondent
Alt Mode – Cassette (Tank Robot Mode)
Grand Slam is a war veteran that has seen an untold amount of conflict and destruction. He is very tenacious and determined when on assignment. He is dedicated to recording all the sounds of war, including torture, bombings, hateful propaganda, and genocidal massacres. He hopes to eventually use all his recorded data as a reminder to all Cybertronians of how bad they had become as a species and hopes to teach younger mechs about what war can truly be like. He wields twin dual-barreled repulsor blasters that fire magnetically-charged laser beams. These repulsor beams force whatever they hit to fly backwards, away from Grand Slam, while not being too damaging. He also uses a smoke discharger cannon that emits bursts of dense smoke clouds around him, giving him cover while he’s recording the battles around him. He can record up to 20 years worth of audio data before needing to replace his recording storage packs.

Graphy Autobot Aerial Intelligence Gathering
Alt Mode – Cassette (Pteranodon Robot Mode)
Graphy is the calmest, most relaxed Autobot Cassette. He is laidback, easy-going, and friendly. He is also a superb flyer and able to reach speeds up to 155 mph while in full flight. Graphy has the best sight of the Autobot Cassettes, rivaling Buzzsaw. He is very good at his job and has a fantastic work ethic despite his laidback nature. In robot mode he uses twin laser blasters that are mounted on the very tips of his wings. Graphy has a strong dislike of Buzzsaw and Laserbeak. He views the Condor Cassettes as cruel wastes of materials. Graphy is nothing like his brother Noise. Noise’s violent and brutal nature is the total opposite of Graphy’s easy-going and amiable style. Noise and Graphy often disagree and will get into arguments with each other a good deal. Yet, some how once they combine into Decibel they form a well-rounded mech.

Noise Autobot Forest Investigations, Front Line Combat
Alt Mode – Cassette (Allosaurus Robot Mode)
Noise is the most violent Autobot Cassette, even more so than Ramhorn…and that says a lot. He is a combat expert, being skilled in both melee and ranged fighting. He was assigned forest investigations in hopes of curbing his violent tendencies by having work within a naturally-organic and semi-fragile environment. This didn’t work. He is more often seen leveling the woods around him as he blasts at his foes. Noise greatly admires Grimlock and looks up to the mighty Dinobot much more so than Blaster. In fact Noise has been known to ignore an order from Blaster if it allows him to work towards impressing Grimlock. In robot form he wields two hip-mounted, double-barreled fire blaster cannons. Noise’s cannons emit long range bursts of superheated flame and heat waves. The heat waves themselves can melt steel. He also has the strongest and most durable fangs and claws of all the Autobot Cassettes.

Raindance Autobot Video Correspondent
Alt Mode – Cassette (Jet Robot Mode)
A daredevil, gutsy, witty, and fast, Raindance is a fantastic storyteller and video correspondent. He is brave and carefree. He’ll risk it all to get the best video shots of battles and plots unfolding. He’s seen and recorded thousands of battles. He also has thousands upon thousands of stories about those battles to share with others and does so regularly. He is well-liked within the Autobot ranks for his demeanor and being able to both show the horrors of war and take his comrades’ minds off the war. Uses twin proton missile launchers in robot mode. He can record up to 20 years worth of video with his nosecone-mounted camera system before needing to replace his recording storage packs.

Ramhorn Autobot Warrior
Alt Mode – Cassette (Rhinoceros Robot Mode)
A bad tempered beast-cassette, Ramhorn is one of the most violent and destructive cassettes on both sides of the war. He has a very bad hair-trigger temper. He is very territorial as well, defending his belongings with devastating results. Ramhorn has been known to force open Blaster’s chest compartment to release himself for battles if he becomes enraged enough. This greatly bothers Blaster. He is one of the few beast-cassettes that can speak various languages. However, his speech isn’t perfect and he speaks with a bad stutter that gets worse the angrier he gets. He carries twin laser-guided, heat-seeking missile pods. His horn can puncture steel beams as if they were paper. His charging attacks are almost unstoppable and can up-end an 18-wheeled tractor trailer with ease. In cassette mode, Ramhorn can vibrate intensely, thus destroying whatever equipment he’s placed in.

Rewind Autobot Archivist
Alt Mode – Cassette
Rewind is the trivia master of the Autobots; he knows more useless information than any other Autobot could dream of. He gathers up information as fast and often a he can until it gives him the equivalent of a human headache. His braincore houses a super-advanced light-matrix storage system that has near infinite capacity for recording information, no matter how pointless. This light-matrix can also be used as a blinding beacon which unleashes intense light beams from his forehead crest. Rewind uses two adhesion rifles that can mount to his forearms or be used as handheld weapons. The adhesion rifles release metal-bonding super-glue that is almost unbreakable once it’s dried. It is rumored that he and his brother, Eject have removable faceplates with normal Cybertronian faces underneath. He would be a wicked contestant on Jeopardy and always wins trivia games. Always.

Saur Autobot Amphibious Assault, Underwater Developments
Alt Mode – Cassette (Apatosaurus Robot Mode)
Saur is the largest and strongest of all the Cassettes, whether Autobot or Decepticon. His size is massive for a Cassette-former. He is extremely powerful underwater, possessing incredible swimming skills and a very high resistance to the pressures of the oceans’ depths. Saur is equipped with two side-mounted wave blaster cannons that emit strong sonic and vibration bursts. These vibro-sonic waves severely damage audio receptors as well as shatter weaker building materials, damage foundations, and cause smaller tidal waves. His tail can shatter the foundation of a three-story building with one powerful strike. Saur is a very gentle and laidback mech. He is a nature watcher and enjoys taking walks through the forests or going on long swimming excursions. He loves to watch and listen to tiny birds. He finds the birds to be soothing and harmonic. He is also very fond of squirrels, believing them to be very cute and interesting to watch.

Steeljaw Autobot Tracker
Alt Mode – Lion
Steeljaw is one of the greatest trackers the Autobots have. His olfactory sensors are second to none, allowing him to sniff out prey from amazingly-great distances. His professionalism, tenacity, and determination can make him seem cold and rude to others while he is on a mission. However, he really is a good-natured mech-beast during downtimes. He has a love of experiencing new smells as well as enjoying the scents of human females’ perfumes. Steeljaw’s bite (which he gets his name from) is incredibly strong, able to snap a steel cable with ease and is nearly unbreakable. He is equipped with two solar-powered automatic pellet guns that fire tiny steel pellets up to 1200 rounds per minute. The performance of these guns is reliant on the conditions of the sunlight around him. He can run out of ammunition regularly. While in cassette mode, he can electromagnetize himself to cling to metal surfaces, making it hard for someone to pick him up.

Decibel Autobot Intelligence Gathering, Warrior
Alt Mode – Separated Noise and Graphy
Decibel is loyal and obedient. He is also very prim and proper, caring a great deal about being well-mannered and presenting himself as always well-groomed and prepared. He is smart, efficient, and reliable. However, he is also overly straight-laced, predictable, and can be single-minded at times. He combines the speed and grace of Graphy and the strength and endurance of Noise, making him a durable and dexterous Autobot. Thanks to the spark-sharing of the Autobot Dino-Cassettes, Decibel and Legout are real brothers. They are very different and have their own individual styles. Decibel is equipped with Noise’s fire blaster cannons mounted on his shoulders.

Legout Autobot Information Collection and Records Keeping
Alt Mode – Separated Dial and Saur
Carefree, easily amused, and very enthusiastic, Legout is one of the most well-liked Autobot Cassettes. He collects and processes all the recorded data the Autobots gather. He also works in the field to retrieve vital information from various Autobot spies and infiltrators. His CPU is enhanced to rapidly store, organize, and recall a massive amount of data. Due to the spark-sharing of all the Autobot Dino-Cassettes, Legout and Decibel are true brothers. Legout is quite the opposite of his brother Decibel, worrying much less about his appearance and manners. In fact he can be a bit of a slob during his free time, much to Decibel’s annoyance. Legout uses Saur’s wave blaster cannons mounted on his shoulders as well as Dial’s laser cannons mounted on his hips. He has an intense love of rock-n-roll music.

Slamdance Autobot Journalist
Alt Mode – Separated Grand Slam and Raindance
The combined form of the two Autobot correspondents, Slamdance takes Grand Slam’s veteran mind, skill, and determination and combines it with Raindance’s wit, bravery, and passionate story-telling. Slamdance is both disliked and well-loved, depending on whom you ask in the Autobot ranks. He reports fair and balanced information, even if it goes against the public opinion of the Autobots and what the Autobots stand for. He has revealed both Decepticon and Autobot plots to the general public of Cybertron, with damaging results to both sides. He generally keeps the Autobots honest with his reporting, as they fear what Slamdance will say. He is stoic and stuffy at times. Uses Raindance’s proton missiles (now attached to his forearms) and Grand Slam’s dual repulsors (now shoulder-mounted).
