Optimus Prime	Quote – “Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.” Function – Autobot Supreme Commander Alt Mode – Freightliner FL86 Cab-Over-Engine Semi Optimus Prime is the quintessential bastion for good, freedom, and peace. Yet, he is also one who isn’t afraid to do what he must or get his hands dirty. He is a natural-built warrior with an enormous sense of honor and respect for sentient life. Originally he was a simple civilian. Some say he was a dock worker named Orion Pax, others tell the tale of Optronix, the Cybertronian Data Archivist. Either way, he was once a civilian who was chosen by the Matrix to become the new Autobot Leader. He is considered the greatest Autobot leader ever forged, and for good reason. Few have made as many accomplishments as he has throughout all the years of war and destruction. Optimus Prime possesses immense strength, endurance, and wisdom (enhanced via the Matrix of Leadership/Creation Matrix). His trailer converts into a combat and repair deck equipped with missiles, a repair drone, and repair berth. Optimus also has a scouting drone named Roller, who has limited Artificial Intelligence and a mental connection with Optimus himself. Optimus’ arm can transform into an energo-axe. He carries a very powerful ion rifle that fires beams of ionized laser energy. His sense of honor and duty can make him subject to manipulation to crafty and vile people, such as Megatron. Also, whenever one of his components feels pain, Optimus himself feels it as well.
Megatron	Quote – “I am autonomous perfection.” Function – Decepticon Leader/Founder Alt Mode – Walther P-38 U.N.C.L.E. Modified Handgun (G1), M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank (G2) Megatron is the most-feared Cybertronian in existence. He is brute force, tactical genius, sheer power, and mild insanity all combined into autonomous perfection. He is very charismatic and can easily manipulate others to his will. Megatron’s main philosophies are: Survival of the Fittest and The Strong Rule the Weak. He believes with utmost vigor that the chosen Cybertronians, the Decepticons, will eventually rule everything in their path. Megatron leads the Decepticons and their empire. He demands respect and controls with an iron fist. Under his rule the Decepticons rose up in power and eventually claimed all of Cybertron. He has fought for nearly nine million years and will continue to do so until he has full conquest of all in his path. He will do almost anything to accomplish his goals. Megatron wields an arm-mounted fusion cannon, whose power is incredible, able to level a mountainside with one blast. He can also fire a fusion shot from the gun barrel on his back. His arm converts into an energo-flail that he is extremely proficient at using. He is also an expert swordsman and some times carries a massive greatsword into combat. In handgun form, his fusion blasts are much more concentrated and deadly; however this mode puts him into the hands of another. His only real weaknesses are his arrogance and his tendency to become obsessed with a goal, but physically he has no known weaknesses. Eventually Megatron was reformed into Galvatron by the Chaos Bringer, Unicron.
Galvatron	Quote – “Die you fools!” Function – Decepticon Leader Alt Mode – Futuristic Mobile Artillery Cannon Once Megatron, now reformatted by Unicron into the force of insanity named Galvatron, he is brutal, incredibly powerful, and completely out of his mind. He is an unpredictable force of nature. He will attack his own troops at a whim and cause waves of destruction wherever he goes, even if that’s to the newest Decepticon outpost. He lacks any form of real empathy. At times it seems as if Galvatron is nearly invincible to any form of damage, as his insane mind does not allow him to truly accept pain and fear. His arm-mounted cannon fires particle beams of amazingly-destructive force. In artillery mode, his destructive capabilities increase tenfold and he can literally charge a blast to turn an object into ashes if his systems are fully-charged and ready. He also has been known to carry a handheld rifle that emits bolts of chemically-produced electricity. At first after his reformation, Galvatron showed no signs of the insanity brewing within him. But that quickly changed and he is now a complete psychopathic destroyer of everything. His arrogance is his greatest weakness.
Jhiaxus	Quote – “I am Jhiaxus. And as you are no doubt aware of, your lives are in my hands.” Function – Generation Two Decepticon Commander Alt Mode – Super Space Jet A Decepticon who had a goal: become more than a simple Cybertronian, Jhiaxus is beyond any normal Decepticon or Autobot. He and his faction cyberformed a large number of worlds in deep space, creating the Cybertronian Empire that he rules over. Jhiaxus believes the Autobots and Decepticons are ancient throwbacks, evolutionary savages who must be destroyed, as they are an insult to the Cybertronian Empire. Before he left Cybertron eons ago, he was an insane tyrannical dictator over a cluster of city-states. He is now a cold-hearted, amoral leader who only does what’s “best for his New Cybertronians”, or that’s the façade he puts up. He tries to hide behind his mask of cold indifference, but the truth is that he is terribly ashamed of himself and all of Cybertronian history. He is forever shamed by his past and wishes to completely forget it ever happened. Jhiaxus is incredibly powerful. His strength greatly outmatches Optimus Prime or Megatron. And his intelligence is beyond stunning. He is calculating, intense, and will do whatever is necessary to preserve his new Cybertronian Empire and forget that the Autobots and Decepticons of Cybertron even exist. To do this, they must all be eliminated with extreme prejudice! Jhiaxus’ only real weaknesses are his inability to improvise during battles and that once he’s set his mind to something he refuses to deviate from that path.
Straxus	Quote – “Mercy is not dispensed here fools…only death!” Function – Lord High Governor Alt Mode – Mobile Artillery Cannon (with flight capabilities) Straxus was once a High Governor of Cybertron who became the leader of some of the Decepticons in Megatron’s four million year absence. Straxus was a cruel and ruthless leader who led with an iron fist. He was infamous for dispensing pain and death to his followers should they displease him. He used Decepticons as nothing but fodder in any way he saw fit. He never cared for how valuable any of his followers were, because to him they were all expendable. His true origin is linked to Jhiaxus, who left Straxus on Cybertron to become a powerful politician while Jhiaxus started his Cybertronian Empire. The Space Bridge was constructed thanks to Straxus, who pushed for its construction while he was commanding the Decepticons. Straxus was eventually “killed” by Blaster, who kicked the Decepticon Leader into an unstable Space Bridge portal. This collision with the portal ripped Straxus to bits. (Go Blaster!) However, shortly after his death, Straxus’ head was recovered mostly intact and was placed within a restoration tube, where he continued to dish out his orders as a talking head in a large jar. He was later destroyed. Straxus uses a large, thick pickaxe that generates an energy field for added damage.

Beast Wars / Beast Machines Leaders

Optimus Primal	Quote – “We don’t have to do this Megatron. There has been peace between the Maximals and Predacons for centuries.” Function – Maximal Axalon Commander Alt Mode – Gorilla (Optimal Optimus – Gorilla, Jet, and Tank) Once a just the Captain of the Axalon expedition, Optimus Primal was forced to fight a war to protect the past on ancient earth, and another to save the future on Cybertron. He holds the “receptive spark” and is chosen by the Matrix to reformat Cybertron. His loyalty and devotion inspire the same from all around him.
Megatron	Quote – “The universe cowered once at the name of Megatron and it shall do so again!” Funciton – Predacon Rebels Leader Alt Mode – T-Rex, Dragon, Giant Floating Head, Optimal Megatron Like everything else in his life, Megatron stole his name. Impatient with the stagnation of the Predacon Alliance, Megatron recruited a crew with promises of energon and conquest, obscuring his own goal of destroying history. Eventually thwarted by Optimus Primal and his crew, Megatron escaped, and more insane then ever, enslaved all of Cybertron. His ultimate objective: to conquer the Matrix itself.
Lio Convoy	Quote – “If it goes bad, this never happened. You’re on your own.” Function – Maximal General, State Affairs Committeeman, Leader of The Pack Alt Mode – Great White Lion Lio Convoy is a superb military commander with an eye for special operations and combat improvisation. He has a strong sense of right and wrong. He is intelligent, agile, strong, and quick on the battlefield. He is a member of the Bi-Partate Committee for State Affairs on Cybertron and as such helps to keep the city-states of Cybertron regulated on a more local level. He is also the leader of The Pack, a secret black ops cell of Maximals who work without the approval of the Maximal Imperium. Though the Imperium knows of The Pack, they wash their hands of anything the group does, acting as if they never exist. Lio Convoy readies his secret group of personal followers for the inevitable assault by the Predacons. He also works to thwart any personal goals of the Predacon General, Magmatron. Lio Convoy has a very gentle and humane attitude about most things, but behind this, he is a serious-minded warrior who will fight to defend what he believes. Lio Convoy has retractable razor-sharp blades on both arms and uses twin missile launchers that can be attached to his arms or used as handheld weapons. He also possesses an Energon Matrix, a powerful tool that can be used to tap into the Well of Allsparks as well as produce a massive beam of concentrated energon energy.
Cryotek	***Cryotek’s pet, Chro (pronounced “Crow”) can be used by the one controlling Cryotek.*** Quote – “Did you not find that display a bit…hyperbolic?” Function – Predacon Gangster Alt Mode – Blue Dragon A Decepticon backstabber who was granted amnesty when he helped bring down his master, Deathsaurus, Cryotek became a powerful and influential Predacon gangster within Cybertron’s underworld. His network of supply running and smuggling was almost legendary in some sectors of Cybertronian space. Once a brilliant engineer and scientist, Cryotek began using all his talents to construct outlawed sciences, such as various Pretender technologies, spark extractors, and overly-powerful war drones. He ran a very well-organized and thorough organization that could never be pinned to anything, no matter how hard the Maximal Command Security Force worked to prove that Cryotek was at the head of a multitude of criminal events and disasters. Cryotek’s greatest claim to fame is the new Megatron, whom Cryotek personally-trained as an apprentice. Megatron would go on to develop most of Cryotek’s non-constructed technology and improve on it. Cryotek’s pet, the mechanoid crow, Chro is often found perched atop his master’s shoulder.
Magmatron	Quote – “Prepare to rise up against them and take back what is ours!” Function – Predacon General Alt Mode – Quetzalcoatlus, Giganotosaurus, and Elasmosaurus (as 3 Separate Beasts or 1 Combined Chimera-like Monster) Magmatron is an infamous, highly-decorated Predacon War General. He has all the qualities one would want in a general: powerful, intelligent, strategic, vicious on the battlefield, and possessing a reasonable mind. He is respected, feared, and admired by almost all other Predacons. He views the new Megatron as too much of a rogue to be a real leader for the Predacons on any level, and thinks that Megatron will undo himself in due time. However, Magmatron will of course attempt to expedite that time. Unlike, Megatron, Magmatron relishes his status within the Predacon hierarchy and uses the political system to his own advantage. He will not do more than absolutely necessary out in the open, for fear of jeopardizing his position within the Predacon political circles. He works in secret, scheming and plotting against all those who are of higher authority, in particular the Tripredacus Council. Magmatron controls his troops with effective militaristic professionalism and rarely abuses them, instead relying on proper military punishment for their failures. He wields a very large greatsword and possesses incredible physical strength, allowing him to cleave most armor in two. His spark is said to be split into three parts, one part goes into each of his beast forms. His beast forms give him amazing versatility on land, in the air, and in the sea. Magmatron’s main weaknesses are his tendency to become overly-obsessed and focused on a goal once he’s started it and the fact he can overrate even his own powerful abilities.

The Tripredacus Council and Tripredacus

General Cicadacon	Function – Tripredacus Councilman Alt Mode – Cicada The oldest member of the Tripredacus Council, General Cicadacon is also one of the oldest Predacons currently functioning. It is rumored that he was once a Decepticon during the Great War and now hides his original identity from all but the other members of the Tripredacus Council. He is cruel and feels no compassion towards anyone he views should die. He is the tactical genius of the Tripredacus Council. Cicadacon’s ability to coordinate ideas and improvise on the battlefield is legendary. However, his current strategies against the Maximals are becoming increasingly unpopular among the whole of the Predacons. He is the conceptual mind of the Tripredacus Council.
General Ram Horn	Function – Tripredacus Councilman Alt Mode – Stag Beetle General Ram Horn is tenacious and unfathomably courageous. He also possesses the greatest battle prowess of the Council. He is a superior fighter and a master of handheld bladed weapons. He often is the most focused member of the Council, keeping the other two Generals on task. However, he can be narrow-minded at times and doesn’t always see the big picture without the other two Generals’ assistance. Not much is known about him other than he is feared by many Predacons for his sheer combat skills and his never-say-die attitude. He is the determination of the Tripredacus Council.
General Sea Clamp	Function – Tripredacus Councilman Alt Mode – Crawfish A master of aquatic warfare, General Sea Clamp is exceptionally skilled at directing large numbers of troops into battle over the seas. Sea Clamp has incredible crushing power in his arms. He has been known to crush the life out of those that would usurp his or the other Tripredacus Generals’ power. He possesses a very perceptive mind, often able to read between the lines when the other Councilmen can not. Little else is known about him as he remains hidden more often than the other members of the Tripredacus Council. His secrecy has almost become a thing of legend. He is the perception of the Tripredacus Council.
Tripredacus	Function – Predacon Battle Master and Council Enforcer Alt Mode – Separated Tripredacus Councilmen Feeling a need to increase their self-power, the Tripredacus Council reconfigured their bodies for the gestalt process. The result is a towering terror named Tripredacus. Tripredacus possesses all the attributes of the Council, only tenfold in power and destructive capabilities. He is a mastermind of strategy, a powerhouse of physical strength and has an unyielding tenacity and iron will. He destroys those that are insubordinate without a second thought. Many Maximals think he is nothing more than a Predacon trick or a myth told to soldiers on the battlefield, but they are gravely mistaken. For in the dead of night, Tripredacus comes to kill with utter destruction and hatred in his heart.

Robots in Disguise Leaders

Optimus Prime	Quote – “Autobots! Protect the humans!” Function – Autobot Supreme Commander Alt Mode – Fire Truck Optimus Prime is a serious, stern, and noble commander. However, he is also predictable most of the time. He is a fighter for freedom and the protection of innocent life. He is prone to giving long speeches and can be a bit too by-the-book. Prime has always been a step behind Megatron while trying to capture the villainous Predacon Leader, however he now vows that Earth will be the last stand for him and his Autobots. Prime will stop Megatron here and now, never again allowing the evil leader to decimate a world and move on. Optimus’ greatest weakness is his sense of nobility, which can be easily manipulated by cruel and vile enemies such as Scourge and Megatron. Optimus can combine with his rear “trailer” to form a super-armored version of himself. In this super mode, Prime becomes stronger, more durable, and has a much greater range of weaponry. Without his super mode, Optimus Prime is considered to be much weaker and some even think of him as a joke in his normal form. Ultra Magnus is Prime’s brother and the two share parts of the same spark.
Ultra Magnus	Quote – “Back off Optimus!” Function – Autobot Secondary Commander, Long Range Assault Alt Mode – Modified Car Carrier Semi-Truck The spark-brother of Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus is nothing like his brother. He is much more war-ready and violent than Prime. Magnus hates Optimus and is very jealous of him. Optimus got the Matrix while all Ultra Magnus got was to live in Optimus Prime’s shadow his whole life. Magnus doesn’t function as a standard Autobot, nor does he care about working with others. He is a loner, one who’ll do whatever necessary to get the job done. He is a bit of a jerk to almost everyone around him. He’s very bitter with his life and never satisfied with anything he does. He can combine with Optimus Prime to form Omega Prime: an Autobot pillar of wisdom, strength, and firepower. He eventually reconciled with Optimus Prime, though some times he would still hold a tiny grudge. After the defeat of Galvatron and the Predacons, Ultra Magnus transported all the prisoners back to Cybertron and regained a portion of his honor.
Megatron / Galvatron	Quote – “Predacons! Terrorize!” Function – Predacon Commander Alt Mode – Two-Headed Dragon, Giant Bat, Giant Hand, Super-Speed Racer, and Supersonic Jet (Additional forms as Galvatron – Mammoth, Griffin, Dragon, and Hydroplane Transport) Megatron is a six-changer (a Transformer who has 5 alt modes as well as a single robot form) and commands a group of planet-hopping, techno-organic Predacons. He has a legacy built on the conquest of a multitude of planets. During his campaign to gain supremacy of all the Predacon forces, Megatron devastated planet after planet to prove his fierce capabilities to his fellow Predacons. He is now a “hands off” commander, leaving almost all the dirty work and fighting to his minions. He sits on his throne within his massive battleship, the Megastar, as he orders his flunkies to steal the energy necessary to power his goals. Megatron is later changed into a much more powerful version of himself called Galvatron. After becoming Galvatron, he becomes a lot more active during battles and even defeats Optimus Prime a few times in one-on-one combat. His ultimate goal on Earth is to locate the giant Cybertronian super-weapon, Fortress Maximus. He becomes successful at this goal and tries to use Fortress Maximus to obliterate the Earth and the Autobots. He is eventually defeated and placed in the Asteroid Prison Colony in deep space.

2007 Movie Leaders

Optimus Prime	Quote – “Autobots, roll out!” Function – Autobot Commander Alt Mode – Peterbilt 379 Customized Semi Optimus Prime is a mechanoid who seeks peace and freedom for all beings in the universe. Tyranny and evil have no place for Prime. He was once the co-ruler of Cybertron, along with Megatron, before the civil war began. Megatron betrayed Optimus and the High Council of the Ancients, a governing body of advisors to both Prime and Megatron, and sought to use to the Allspark as a means of amassing a great army to conquer other planets. Prime has studied war for many years and understands it on a practical and psychological level. He is one of the most powerful Cybertronians ever created, possessing great strength, endurance, and fighting capability. Optimus strives for an end to the war, which he had hoped the disappearance of Megatron would bring. However, it never did and the war still continues even after Megatron’s defeat on Earth...
Megatron	Quote – “Is it fear or courage that compels you fleshing?” Function – Decepticon Leader Alt Mode – Cybertronian Jet Megatron was once the co-ruler of Cybertron, along with Optimus Prime and their advisors, the High Council of the Ancients. Megatron is brutally direct, extremely powerful, and more dangerous than anyone can possibly imagine. Megatron grew greedy, vile, and became filled with lust for conquest and destruction. He secretly formed his closest soldiers into the Decepticons and sprung a massive assault. This started the war that would consume Cybertron. Megatron’s greed turned obsession when he devised a plan to use to the Allspark to erect a gigantic army. He will risk anything to obtain his goal of controlling the Allspark, including sacrificing his troops and his planet. The Autobots launched the Allspark into space, to keep Megatron from getting hold of it. Megatron followed his obsession and was lost to time and space for thousands of years. The war continued after Megatron’s disappearance and led to the total waste of Cybertron. However, Megatron still exists. Only time will tell what will happen once he is unleashed upon the universe again...

TF: Animated Leaders

Optimus Prime	Quote – “Do your worst Megatron…I’ll never give up the location of the Allspark.” Function – Autobot Captain Alt Mode – Fire Truck Optimus Prime is young, idealistic, a bit naïve, but incredibly skilled at combat. He wants to become a real Cybertronian hero and longs to prove himself to Ultra Magnus and Sentinel Prime. He can be prone to speeches of inspiration and dedication, much to the annoyance of Prowl. He was once an Autobot Academy Soldier, specially-trained and skilled in dealing with the most extreme problems and dangers. However, his stay at the Academy fell short due to some means that have yet to be fully revealed. He maintains the rank of Prime, but is nothing more than a Captain of a band of miscellaneous Spacebridge Repair Bots who are stuck out in the middle of nowhere space. After rediscovering the Allspark, Optimus and his crew find out that Megatron and his Decepticons are still alive. Now Optimus’ crew is on Earth in the year 2050, fighting to protect the Allspark, their human friend Sari, and her special Allspark Key.
Ultra Magnus	Quote – “Autobots, transform and roll out.” Function – Autobot Supreme Commander, Commander of the Cybertron Elite Guard Alt Mode – Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck Ultra Magnus is the Supreme Leader of all Autobot Forces on Cybertron as well as the head of the Elite Guard. He is fair, decisive, intelligent, wise, and experienced. He was a field commander in the Great War and has just about seen it all. Initially, Ultra Magnus had a low opinion of Optimus Prime and viewed him as an Academy wash out who was now little more than the Captain of a random group of repair bots. This has changed as he has seen firsthand at how Optimus handles the mantle of leadership and treats his soldiers. Magnus was skeptical about the return of Megatron and his Decepticons, but now believes Optimus Prime and his crew about their battles with the Decepticons. He wields a massive war hammer that can generate and direct thunderstorms as well as produce lightning bolts from the hammer itself. He also has a good range of standard blasters and missiles in both modes. Sentinel Prime and Jazz are his right and left hands. They are usually with him on every mission.
Megatron	Quote – “Decepticons, transform and rise up!” Function – Decepticon Commander Alt Mode – Osprey Super-Jet The most dangerous Transformer that ever walked Cybertron, Megatron is pure power, brute force, and cunning. He is brutal and has an unyielding sharp mind that is focused on total domination of all in his path. He demands loyalty from his Decepticons and will forcibly defend his leadership from those that would challenge him. He also has a great ability to corrupt others to do what he desires. He is highly-skilled in both long range combat and swordsmanship. He was once defeated and thought to have perished thousands of years ago. This however was not the case. He and his Decepticons simply went into hiding as they plotted their glorious return to power against the Autobots. At times Megatron views himself as a freedom fighter against the peace-mongering Autobot scum that now controls Cybertron. The Allspark is now his obsession as it is the key to his ultimate victory against the Autobots.
