Autobots - Optimus Prime's Crew

After becoming a wash-out at the Autobot Academy, Optimus Prime becomes the captain of a small group of repair bots. He takes his crew into the far reaches of space to repair the Space Bridge portals. While working on another section of the Space Bridge in deep space, Optimus’ crew finds the Allspark. The Allspark is an ancient artifact with supposed super-weapon capabilities that was launched into unknown space by the Autobots at the end of the Great War. Megatron and his Decepticons reappear for the first time in eons to reclaim the Allspark. Optimus’ crew crashes to Earth in an attempt to keep the Allspark away from Megatron. Optimus Prime’s and his crew awaken in Detroit 50 years after their crash-landing. And the war is on again, with Earth as the new battlefield.

Ratchet Function – Autobot Medical Officer
Alt Mode – Ambulance

Optimus Prime’s advisor and the oldest Autobot on Optimus’ crew. Ratchet was the only member of Optimus’ group to have actually been a part of the Great War and thus the only one to have known real combat prior to finding the Allspark. He’s seen it all, been there and done that. Ratchet is a medical wizard with astonishing skill and talent in repairing and saving lives. Due to his experience, which is considerable, he has grown bitter and a bit snappy at times. He doesn’t view heroism as a great accomplishment, it is instead dangerous and naïve to Ratchet. This doesn’t mean he is a coward, far from it. He just knows when to fight and when to flee, even if the younger Autobots don’t want to listen to him. He is often sarcastic and grumpy to his comrades, even though deep down he greatly cares for each of his fellow Autobots. Ratchet has the special ability to generate magnetic fields, allowing him to move metal objects and create magnetic shields.

Prowl Function – Autobot Warrior
Alt Mode – Police Motorcycle

A loner by nature, Prowl has little interest in being a team player. He would much rather focus on the tasks given to him alone than rely on his fellow Autobots to assist him. He is a warrior to the core, and is a martial arts master. None can match his prowess at hand-to-hand combat and few can compare to his improvisational skills on the battlefield. He is extremely talented at sneaking around in the shadows and using his surroundings to their full potential. Prowl is fascinated with Earth’s nature and natural beauty, as well as its organic life forms. He truly admires and respects the life around him on Earth, despite being the warrior he is. He is equipped with a jetpack that allows him limited flight capabilities, giving him an edge over his comrades in certain situations. His primary weapons are twin razor-sharp cutting discs. He also uses a variety of handheld bladed weapons, but can turn most objects around him into forms of weaponry.

Bumblebee Function – Autobot Scout
Alt Mode – Police Sports Cruiser

The youngest, smallest, fastest, and most excitable Autobot of Optimus Prime’s crew, he is impatient but very friendly. He is also sarcastic and likes making wisecrack remarks. He is energetic and often bites off more than he can chew, however, Bumblebee learns quickly and can adapt to most circumstances. Plus with his good buddy Bulkhead at his side, he’s got a ton of brute force to support his physically weak form. He and Bulkhead are the best of friends and have been through a lot together. Bumblebee spends a lot of time getting on Ratchet’s nerves and frustrating Prowl, but he makes up for it with his determination and friendly personality. He hates being called short, so don’t do it. Bumblebee’s main special ability is his speed, which is much faster than a normal sports car of his design. His robot mode also has greatly enhanced speed and reflexes. Bumblebee’s hands can convert into “Stingers”; blasters that fire electric energy that can stun enemies.

Bulkhead Function – Autobot Warrior, Heavy
Alt Mode – Military Personnel Transport

Bulkhead is the gentle giant of Optimus’ crew. He is the brute force of the group, but has a heart of gold. The strongest of the Earth Autobots, he has immense physical strength and lifting power. He isn’t all that intelligent when compared to the likes of Ratchet or Optimus, but he is reliable and loyal without question. Bulkhead is naturally curious and has a great interest in humans. He, like Bumblebee, is a very close friend to Sari Sumdac, the human child who has befriended the Autobots on Earth. He also has an artistic side that comes out once in a while. He has a growing rivalry with the Decepticon, Lugnut, who stands as the Decepticons’ main strong-bot. Bulkhead’s primary weapon is a wrecking ball-type device that allows him to strike surprisingly fast. Bumblebee is his best friend.

Dinobots
[image]

The Animated Dinobots were created by Prof. Sumdac and then modified by Megatron in an attempt to create powerful Autobot killers. Eventually Sari Sumdac used her Allspark Key to bring the Dinobots to life. They are allies of the Autobots when they feel like it, but overall the Dinobots prefer to stay to themselves on their island in the middle of Lake Erie.

Grimlock Function – Dinobot Leader
Alt Mode – Tyrannosaurus Rex

The Leader of the Dinobots, Grimlock is a powerhouse of brute strength and primal fury. His main tactic is to bash, bite, maul, crush, burn, and slash anything that gets in his way. Due to his creation as a combination of Cybertronian and Earthen technology fused with Allspark energies, Grimlock’s mind is simpler than those of other Transformers. He is still developing mentally. He speaks in broken, fragmented sentences and replaces “I” with “Me”. Grimlock is a force to be reckoned with and one of the most powerful Transformers on Earth. In T-Rex mode, his jaws are incredibly strong, able to snap steel as if it were twigs in a vice and his claws are razor-sharp. Like all the Dinobots, Grimlock’s Dino Mode breaths intensely-hot fire capable of melting steel. He wields a large flaming sword as his primary weapon in robot mode. His strength in robot mode might be comparable to Bulkhead or Lugnut, though it’s not been fully tested as of yet.
Snarl Function – Dinobot Front Line Combat
Alt Mode – Triceratops

Snarl is the Dinobots’ tank. He has the best armor of the Dinobots and his endurance rivals Grimlock. It is unknown if he’s as physically strong as Grimlock, though it is very likely. He is happy to just head butt and smash through anything and everything. His rushing charge can level a three-story building in the blink of an eye. He doesn’t talk much and he likes it that way. He uses a massive flaming club as his main weapon in robot mode. In Dino Mode, his fire breath seems to burn the hottest.
Swoop Function – Dinobot Aerial Combat
Alt Mode – Pteranodon

Swoop is the high-flyer of the Dinobots. He’s quick, agile, and has great dexterity. He is also the weakest and most frail of the group. Though, in reality he’s still one tough bot to break. He prefers the quiet of his island home in the middle of Lake Eerie than going to the mainland. However, he still loves a good fight and will leave the island to do so, or if it’s what Grimlock wants to do. A flaming flail is his primary weapon in robot mode. In both modes he has razor-sharp claws.

Decepticons

Decepticons

The Decepticons were the conquerors from the Great War millions of years ago. They are generally ruthless, aggressive, and dangerous. Their leader, Megatron, has been in power for four million years, even after his supposed death. With the knowlege that Megatron is still alive the Decepticons are begining to reorganize and prepare to reclaim Cybertron. The war is on...

Starscream Function – Decepticon Second-In-Commander, Aerial Warfare Specialist
Alt Mode – Fighter Jet

Arrogant, treacherous, manipulative, and intelligent, Starscream is a backstabbing egomaniac who desires above all else to be the leader of the Decepticons, thus creating his vision of what the Decepticon Empire should be. Very few things can match his speed and guile. He views Megatron as a powerful stepping stone that must be eradicated. Starscream has tried to destroy Megatron on more than one occasion and will continue to do so until Megatron is no longer functioning. Starscream has become a master of sabotage and deception over the years. His null-rays have a wide range of settings, from simply stunning or slowing down a foe to demolishing a building. His aerial acrobatic skills are beyond impressive and make him a master of the skies.
Blitzwing Function – Decepticon Commando
Alt Mode – Assault Tank & Fighter Jet

Blitzwing has three separate personalities that manifest via a facial transformation. His personalities have given him the unique ability to have three distinct modes: a tank, a jet, and his robot form. His primary personality is that of a cold, calculating strategist that utilizes freezing lasers and cryogenic bombs. While his secondary personality is an angry brawler who will attack first and ask questions later, as well as use heat-based laser beams and superheated flames. His final personality is a completely insane creature that enjoys screaming and expressing itself through singing and dancing. Don’t let the quirkiness of his third personality fool you; it can be as menacing and dangerous as the other two. Blitzwing is a powerful foe to battle, due to his unpredictable nature and his versatility in combat.
Lugnut Function – Decepticon Warrior
Alt Mode – Bomber Plane

Lugnut is not very smart but one of the strongest Cybertronians ever manufactured. His strength even overpowers Bulkhead. He does not care about his lack of intelligence, he is content with himself. He is extremely loyal to Megatron and views Megatron as the only one capable of leading the Decepticons. Lugnut has a well-known reputation as being one of the most destructive Decepticons within their ranks. Many Autobots fear his power and some even retreat immediately at the sight of him. Only his giant arsenal of bombs and lasers outmatch his brute force. His special ability allows him to generate massively-powerful punches that can level city blocks with their sheer destructive capabilities.
Blackarachnia Function – Decepticon Stealth Warrior, Infiltration, Spy
Alt Mode – Techno-Organic Spider

Elita-1, a cadet at the Autobot Academy, was abandoned by her teammates, Optimus Prime and Sentinel Prime on an alien world where giant organic spiders had become contaminated with energon. The spiders attacked and poisoned Elita. The energon-tainted venom reconstructed Elita into Blackarachnia, a half-organic/half-mechanoid life form. She hates what she has now become. However, her self-hate is nothing compared to the hate she feels for Optimus Prime. She blames Optimus for leaving her, which led to her transformation into the freak she is. She is incredibly agile with impressive dexterity that few can compete with. Blackarachnia retains Elita-1’s special ability to copy the special powers of other Cybertronians by touching them with her hands or front spider legs. This copying power, however, is limited as she can only maintain the stolen special abilities for a few minutes before they expire, returning her to her normal state.
Soundwave Function – Decepticon Communications, Sonic Assault
Alt Mode – Supped-Up Scion

Soundwave was created by Megatron as a tool to gain access to the Allspark Key of the Autobots’ human friend, Sari Sumdac. Megatron’s original intention was to use Soundwave as a means to be given a new body thanks to the power of the Allspark Key. However, after much exposure to Sari’s Allspark Key, Soundwave became self-aware and far more deadly than even Megatron imagined. He has a gigantic range of abilities including sonic attacks, wiretapping cables, voice modulators, and a sonic frequency that overrides more primitive machines into being Soundwave’s slaves. Soundwave views humans as inferior to machines. Machines are more versatile, powerful, and last longer than any humans. His ultimate goal is to enslave all human beings under the rule of the current machines they control. So far he shows loyalty to his creator, Megatron. Soundwave also has a pet robot bird named Laserbeak that transforms into a guitar that appears to be a powerful weapon.
Lockdown Function – Decepticon Bounty Hunter
Alt Mode – Muscle Car

Lockdown has no loyalty to Megatron or the Decepticon Empire. He is a Decepticon out of necessity, as it allows him constant opportunity to get paid for his skills and receive all the upgrades he desires. He has an obsession for upgrading his bodily systems. An obsession that becomes worse every year. Lockdown is a renowned bounty hunter who has a reputation for being one of the best in the universe. He rarely fails or gives up as long as the pay is worth it. He is considered a disgrace by many Decepticons since he stands for nothing more than self-gain that does not push the Decepticon Cause. Lockdown has a long-standing rivalry with Ratchet, at least in Ratchet’s eyes. To Lockdown, Ratchet was just another upgrade. Lockdown has access to multiple forms of conversion and internal weapons, from a hook hand or chainsaw arm to various grappling hooks and laser blasters. Due to the constant changing of his components Lockdown is unpredictable as an enemy.

Humans

Sari Sumdac Sari Sumdac is a young, hotheaded, and impatient little human girl who befriends the Autobots in the year 2050. She is a bit of a wisecracker but is highly intelligent and capable despite her age. She is now the keeper of the Allspark Key, a device that houses some of the energies of the Allspark. This Key can heal damaged Cybertronians, construct new robots, and upgrade existing robots and machines. Sari does not wield this powerful tool with care however. She often uses the Key’s power for poor personal gain or for simple fun. The Autobots work to protect both her and the Key she carries. [image]
