Autobots – In-Movie

Jazz Autobot First Lt.
Alt Mode – Pontiac Solstice Hardtop
The youngest of Optimus Prime’s main crew, he is also Prime’s right-hand First Lieutenant. Jazz will question Optimus’ commands if he feels the need to, as he doesn’t believe in just following orders because someone outranks him. He is an excellent administrator and coordinator, despite not really enjoying the work. He finds it mundane and boring. He is very talkative and friendly, always there with words of encouragement when his comrades need it. Despite believing in the Autobot Code, Jazz has been known to walk away from the war when the opportunity presents itself. However, he is not a coward, as he is able to turn off the fear receptors in his braincore, giving in unyielding determination and courage in the face of great danger. He once had minor rivalries with Barricade and Bonecrusher before coming to Earth.
Ironhide Autobot Chief Weapons Specialist
Alt Mode – GMC Topkick 4500 “Road Armor” Custom
Ironhide is the Autobots’ Chief Weapons Expert and he enjoys every moment of it. He is the oldest functioning Autobot and has seen it all when it comes to war. He is a master of combat, particularly long-ranged warfare. Ironhide’s body is made of a multitude of replacement parts, especially his right hip, which is now nothing more than a mass of temporary solutions. The toughest mech out there, he has defeated more Decepticons than most of the other Autobots combined. He is Optimus Prime and Ratchet’s good friend. He doesn’t always see eye-to-eye with them though and will question orders and motives if feels it necessary. Ironhide can be more practical and a lot more trigger happy than Optimus Prime which can bring them into verbal conflicts. Ironhide supposedly blew up a small planetoid single-handedly at some point during the war, though to him “It was gonna blow up anyway.”
Bumblebee Autobot Chief Reconnaissance Agent
Alt Mode – Chevrolet Camaro
Bumblebee is part of the Autobots’ recon patrols. He is also a top-notch Lieutenant for Optimus Prime, and Bumblebee even commanded a unit of his own during the Battle of Tyger Pax. At the Battle of Tyger Pax, Bumblebee was defeated by Megatron himself and had his vocal systems crushed by the Decepticon Leader. He survived and went on to assist Optimus Prime’s main crew for thousands of years. Bumblebee was later dispatched, along with his scouting partner Sphinx, to Earth. Sphinx was killed shortly after arriving to Earth, but Bumblebee managed to hide from humans and Decepticons for almost three years before he was able to find the information he needed. Then he signaled Optimus and the others. Although Bumblebee is not the strongest or the most powerful Autobot, he makes up for it with determination, skill, and bravery.
Ratchet Autobot Chief Medical Officer
Alt Mode – H2 Hummer Search and Rescue Custom
Ratchet was once a politician on Cybertron before the civil war grew out of hand. He was Optimus Prime’s liaison to the High Council of the Ancients, a governing body on Cybertron before Megatron started the civil war. He later turned to his true love: saving lives. He is considered to be one of, if not, the bravest Autobot out there. He will do anything to protect and save another life, even if it means putting himself in extreme danger. He has saved friends and foes alike throughout the many years of this war. He is also an excellent navigations technician. Ratchet is known to be a bit sarcastic and witty. Ratchet is close friends with Ironhide and shares a brotherly relationship with the older warrior.

Autobots – Movie Expanded Universe

Arcee Autobot Warrior
Alt Mode – Buell Firebolt XB12R Motorcycle
Arcee is a natural hunter, skilled in stalking and tracking down prey and foes alike. Before joining the Autobots she was a professional hunter on Cybertron. Arcee is a bit feisty and enjoys a good battle. She is stealthy, silent, and well-trained. Ironhide personally trained her in the combat arts and how to use her speed and size to her advantage. She wields a powerful bow and is exceptionally good at marksmanship. Her favorite pastime is to sneak up on unsuspecting Decepticons and then strike when they least expect it. Arcee believes above any cost that the Decepticons must be stopped.
Camshaft Autobot Aggressive Reconnaissance Agent
Alt Mode – Chevrolet Cobalt
Camshaft was once a sparkless Decepticon Drone, but is now part of the Autobots’ in-force recon patrol. He is sent into hostile territories and environments to gather information rapidly and use extreme force. He operates fast and hits the ground firing. His weapons are designed to disable Decepticons quickly and quietly. His armor plating can adapt and change to allow Camshaft near-perfect resistance to harsh environments and weather conditions.

Chevy Bot Avalanche ***The PLAYER of this Character gets to name him.***
Autobot Defensive Warfare Specialist
Alt Mode – Silver Chevrolet Avalanche Truck
He is a very well-rounded mech, being a capable fighter as well as a technical specialist. Doesn’t believe in sacrificing intelligence for big guns, and will always think through situations before acting. While he’s not very fast, he easily makes up for it by packing a heavy punch. Uses twin semi-automatic armaments built into his forearms as his primary weapons. He has the special ability to generate a deflector field around his body for a small amount of time. This field deflects most pulse and heat-based weaponry.
Chevy Bot Aveo ***The PLAYER of this Character gets to name him.***
Autobot Warrior
Alt Mode – Red Chevrolet Aveo
A small, squirrelly mech, he darts in and out of combat with great speed and agility. He is very cunning and quick-witted. He is a master of improvisation, adapting to most combat situations easily. While he is physically weak and lacks any true armor against most firearms, his uncanny reflexes and dodging capabilities usually keep him out of trouble. However, if he takes a hit it is usually very damaging. His right arm converts into a small semi-automatic blaster.
Chevy Bot Cobalt ***The PLAYER of this Character gets to name him.***
Autobot Warrior
Alt Mode – Yellow Chevrolet Cobalt
Aggressive, temperamental, and has a bad attitude most of the time, he is a warrior to the core. Loves the thrill of battle and is highly-skilled in the use of firearms. His primary weapons are twin automatic pulse guns built within his forearms. He will attack foes much stronger and more powerful than himself, even if just to be a nuisance to them. He rarely knows fear and will only retreat when there is no other alternative except deactivation. Can be overly-stubborn to the point of being downright annoying.
Chevy Bot Equinox ***The PLAYER of this Character gets to name him.***
Autobot Martial Combatant
Alt Mode – Silver-Blue Chevrolet Equinox SUV
He is an action junkie and a big action movie buff. Loves Earth action films and knows most by heart. He is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant and can usually identify the approach and techniques an enemy will attack him with immediately. This allows him to counterattack and defend himself rapidly and with great success. He also has a small rocket launcher built within his right arm, but he prefers to not use it unless there is no other option. He lives for martial combat, car chases, and showing off on the battlefield.
Chevy Bot HHR ***The PLAYER of this Character gets to name him.***
Autobot Technical Engineer
Alt Mode – Orange Chevrolet HHR
A brain-bot. He is a techie: specialized at working with all forms of technology and constructing new devices for the Autobots. Calm, laid-back, and smart, he doesn’t sweat the small stuff most of the time. He is not very well-equipped for combat and has only the bare minimum of weapons training. His left arm converts into a semi-automatic armament and he carries a mace that he only uses as a last resort in close-quarters combat. He has advanced scanners that allow him to detect the weakest points in a foe’s armor and exo-structure.
Chevy Bot Impala ***The PLAYER of this Character gets to name him.***
Autobot Guerilla Warfare Specialist
Alt Mode – Black Chevrolet Impala
He is stealthy, sneaky, and a highly-trained swordsman. His primary weapon is a superheated long blade that can slice through most armor with great ease. He is quiet and relaxed, but always prepared to fight. A master of hit-n-run, guerilla tactics. He is in and out of a fracas before most know what hit them. He is also equipped with two small arm blasters, though he rarely uses them. He is known to stalk in the shadows and use the surrounding metropolitan areas as cover for his movements.
Chevy Bot Silverado ***The PLAYER of this Character gets to name him.***
Autobot Brawler
Alt Mode – Blue Chevrolet Silverado Pickup Truck
He hates planning ahead or waiting around. He would rather just jump into the fray with both fists swinging than plan out any form of strategy. He isn’t dumb, just impatient and hotheaded. A brawler by nature, he is an excellent hand-to-hand fighter and has incredible physical strength. He hates using firearms and long ranged tactics. He isn’t satisfied until he can smash in an enemy’s faceplate with his bare hands. His armor is specialized to resist impact and blunt force damage; however it is not capable of withstanding heavy weapons fire.
Cliffjumper Autobot Warrior
Alt Mode – Chevrolet Camaro
Loud, surly, and always looking for a good fight are the most common words uttered about Cliffjumper. He is a bot-of-action. Running headlong into conflict is his tactic and blasting Decepticons is his purpose. He doesn’t understand the reasons and actions of his “twin” and good friend, Bumblebee. Cliffjumper can’t wrap his head around why Bumblebee prefers the stealth and intelligence gathering side of the Autobot ranks, instead of the frontline combat Cliffjumper so enjoys. His arm converts into both a heatwave cannon and a plasma blade.
Evac Autobot Search and Rescue
Alt Mode – Search and Rescue Sikorsky MH-53 Helicopter
Fearless, compassionate, and devoted, Evac is the perfect mech for search and rescue operations. He fears no Decepticon attack, nor does he back down when someone is in need of being rescued. He came to Earth quickly after receiving Optimus Prime’s signal following the apparent death of Megatron. He is here on Earth to help rebuild after the wake of devastation caused by the Decepticons.
Flash Autobot Reconnaissance Agent
Alt Mode – Chevrolet Cobalt
Flash was part of a duo of Autobots that originally landed on Earth prior to Bumblebee’s arrival on the planet. Partnered with Ridge, Flash scouted for the Allspark. Eventually Flash and Ridge signaled for Bumblebee to arrive on Earth. Shortly before Bumblebee got to Earth, both Flash and Ridge were captured by a Decepticon force. It is unclear when or how Flash escaped, but he was found online shortly after the battle at Mission City. Ridge was not so lucky and perished. Like his name implies, Flash is quick on his feet and fast on his wheels. He is also impulsive and a bit reckless. He is a good melee fighter, but is not very strong physically.
Landmine Autobot Ground Assault, Weapons Specialist
Alt Mode – Sector Seven Armored Buggy
Landmine was brought to life by the outburst of Allspark energy from Megatron’s apparent destruction. He is still learning what it means to be an Autobot and doesn’t always understand the Autobot Code. He also makes rookie mistakes at times during combat situations. Ironhide is his personal mentor, training the fresh bot in the ways of war and weaponry. Landmine works closely with the United States government and the affiliates of Sector Seven. He enjoys excitement and the feelings of gratification that come with being an Autobot.
Longarm Autobot Troop Support
Alt Mode – GMC Tow Truck
To help those in need, protect the weak, and save lives are what Longarm lives for. He strives to help anything and anyone. Whether it is hauling a broken down car out of a ditch or providing cover fire for his fellow Autobots, he’s there with eagerness and caring. He is very friendly and shows a lot of compassion despite his strength and firepower. Longarm doesn’t understand the Decepticons. They just are too angry, selfish, and destructive for Longarm to relate to.
Ridge Autobot Reconnaissance Agent
Alt Mode – Chevrolet Avalanche Truck
Ridge was the long-time partner of Flash. Ridge was slowly-paced and methodical to counterbalance Flash’s speed and impulsiveness. The two worked together on dozens of scouting missions across the universe before coming to Earth. Not too long after arriving on Earth, Ridge and Flash discovered possible data that the Allspark was on this planet. They signaled for Bumblebee and Sphinx to come to Earth. Immediately following their transmission both Ridge and Flash were captured by the Decepticons. Flash was later found alive, Ridge however was not. Ridge was deactivated some time before the battle of Mission City.
Salvage Autobot Salvage Recovery, Troop Support
Alt Mode - Chevrolet Silverado Pickup Truck
Granted life and creation through the extra outbursts of energies from the Allspark during Megatron’s defeat, Salvage was once nothing more than a junk-hauling pickup for “Sparkplug & Son Salvage”. The energies of the Allspark hit the salvage truck, but not before they grazed the body of an on-looking, non-participant in the Mission City battle...Dropkick! The Allspark energies absorbed the structural and technical data of Dropkick, transferring it to Salvage. Salvage is a happy-go-luck sort and enjoys his new life, but doesn’t understand the purpose and importance of being an Autobot. He has no ambition, nor cares to fight much in this war. Yet, he is compelled to help those in need, making him a good mech to have around.
Sphinx Autobot Reconnaissance Agent
Alt Mode – Chevrolet Aveo
Sphinx was Bumblebee’s partner. The two traveled the cosmos together as a scouting duo. Sphinx is small, quick, and a great hand-to-hand fighter. Sphinx and Bumblebee were separated during atmospheric entry to Earth. Sphinx eventually arrived at the rendezvous point to meet Flash and Ridge, but was instead ambushed by Decepticons. Sphinx was killed in battle, having his spark removed. Sphinx’s last words were in a transmission to Bumblebee, warning him to stay away from the rendezvous point, thus saving Bumblebee’s life.

Decepticons – In-Movie

Starscream Decepticon Second-In-Command, Aerial Commander
Alt Mode – F-22 Raptor Fighter Jet
Fast, cunning, power-hungry, and downright treacherous, this is what defines Starscream. Starscream views himself as the perfect Cybertronian and he feels he is the rightful leader for the Decepticons. He passionately enjoys Megatron’s absence in the war and all his motives involve finding the Allspark and leaving Megatron lost to the cosmos. He believes that lies, deceit, and manipulation are the ways to absolute power, not brute force or a massive army. Corruption is Starscream’s game and he’s very good at it. He pits his fellow Decepticons at each other, keeping them divided and at each other’s throats. This allows him to manipulate them into doing as he desires. Blackout is the only one who constantly undoes Starscream’s plans, but Starscream knows how important Blackout is to the current Decepticon ranks and allows him to live.
Barricade Decepticon Hunter, Scout
Alt Mode – Saleen S281 Ford Mustang Police Cruiser
Barricade is a hunter at heart. He loves stalking prey, blending in with his surroundings and striking when they least expect it. His favorite part of hunting is the sheer terror in his victims as he springs to life as something they assumed was innocent now turned death-dealing. However, Barricade’s courage only lasts as long as he has the upper hand. He has been known to ditch his fellow Decepticons if he doesn’t believe their efforts will be fruitful or if his own being is put into too much risk. He is the ultimate opportunist in that he will play others against each other to advance his own agenda and what he views is the right path for the Decepticon Empire. While he hates Starscream, he realizes that Starscream is key in finding Megatron and the Allspark. As a result of this, Barricade is temporarily loyal to Starscream. That is until Megatron or the Allspark are recovered. Either way, Starscream’s purpose will be over.
Blackout Decepticon Special Ops, Heavy Weapons
Alt Mode - Sikorsky MH-53 Pave Low Helicopter
Blackout is Megatron’s right-hand mech. He is referred to as Megatron’s “hound”, and is incredibly loyal to Megatron. He has the largest arsenal and the best body armor of all the Decepticons. Blackout towers over every Decepticon except Megatron. He is also a communications and technical equipment expert, despite his warmongering. Even though officially Starscream outranks Blackout, Blackout makes it publicly known that Starscream is a pathetic leader. Blackout and Starscream have fought multiple times for temporary supremacy of the Decepticons in Megatron’s absence. So far Starscream’s speed and cunning mind keep him victorious over Blackout’s weapons and strength. Blackout has a sneaky and treacherous streak as well, using his symbiotic minion, Scorponok, to great advantages. He is also extremely protective of Scorponok, risking his own well-being to protect his follower.
Bonecrusher Decepticon Brute
Alt Mode – Buffalo Minesweeper
Hate. That is the core of Bonecrusher. Everything he does, he does with relentless anger, fueled by pure hate of everything. He even hates Megatron and the other Decepticons, but he hates the Autobots more. He is only a Decepticon because it allows him to freely vent all his aggressive hate at the Autobots. He even hates himself. He despises every part of his hunchbacked form and uses this self-hate as the key to all his destructive tendencies. Bonecrusher has an on-going feud with Optimus Prime, though he’s never defeated Prime completely, he has bested Optimus in combat to a minor degree before, such as impaling Prime with his blade arm and tossing him through space. Bonecrusher also plans to destroy Starscream one day, if he can ever get a good opportunity to do so.
Brawl Decepticon Warrior
Alt Mode - M1A1 Abrams Modified Tank
War is all Brawl cares about. Destruction of cities, planets, species, it doesn’t matter as long as there are people dying and structures blowing up. Brawl does not just love conflict and killing, he lives for it. It is his life-blood and consumes his every motive and action. Brawl’s perfect day involves slaughtering hundreds while standing in a massive crater as debris showers down around him like harsh rain. Every fiber of his being is driven for the single purpose of destructive death and he will continue to strive for the total annihilation of anything in his way. Including other Decepticons if need be.
Frenzy Decepticon Espionage and Infiltration Agent
Alt Mode – CD Player/Boom-Box
Frenzy is a jittering, twitchy sneak. He was built with espionage and sabotage in mind, and he lusts for both. He has lightning-fast reflexes coupled with hyper-active twitches and jerks. He is the weakest and most fragile of all the Decepticons, but he makes up for it in skill and natural talent in executing his function. Frenzy is single-minded. Once he has set his sights on a goal he will not back down until it’s completed, within reason – he isn’t going to get scrapped for no good reason. When dealing with larger opponent (which is most of the time) he picks his moments to attack, letting his foes expose weak joints or cracks in their armor. To which Frenzy will jump at and begin tearing and pulling on sensitive wires, connectors, and circuitry.

Decepticons – Movie Expanded Universe

Dispensor Decepticon Warrior
Alt Mode – Mountain Dew Vending Machine
The Allspark’s energies lashed out at a nearby vending machine when Sam Witwicky accidentally activated the Allspark Cube. The results were the reformation and creation of Dispensor. A vicious, smaller Decepticon, he is angry, full of angst, and has an itchy trigger finger. He is a four-armed terror on the loose around Mission City. His can-cannon can fire soda cans at nearly 300 mph with lethal blunt force impact. Dispensor is rumored to have a whisper-transformation mode, allowing him to be extremely silent when transforming from one mode to another.
Dreadwing Decepticon Aerial Attack
Alt Mode – MiG-29 Fulcrum Fighter Jet
Dreadwing is sneaky, greedy, and corrupt to the core. Most of the other Decepticons dislike him for his sense of humor and love of performing practical jokes on his comrades. He is a skilled thief, but isn’t very intelligent overall. He’s good a practical jokes, stealing, and shooting at targets. He has the ability to teleport short distances much like another well-known Decepticon, but it is unknown how Dreadwing would have gotten this technology unless he stole it. He isn’t smart enough to install it either. This leads to several unanswered questions regarding his time before coming to Earth.
Dropkick Decepticon Ground Assault
Alt Mode – Chevy Silverado Pickup Truck
Dropkick never wanted to come to Earth. He was forced to as part of the Decepticon ranks. He would rather be on Cybertron, sitting alone in the dark and being angry. He doesn’t understand the importance of the Allspark and complains about his position in the war. Dropkick doesn’t get why they have to fight the Autobots, but he enjoys watching things go boom. He has powerful hydraulics in his legs that allow him to jump great distances and kick with tremendous force. He has a minor rivalry with Ironhide, other “gun-arm” mech.
Incinerator Decepticon Interrogation, Aerial Support
Alt Mode – V-22 Osprey Transport Aircraft
While most of the Decepticons are at least partly decent at hiding from the humans on Earth, Incinerator doesn’t even try. He openly attacks and moves around the globe unhindered. He is a Megatron loyalist and proud of it. Incinerator is a self-made interrogator. He captures helpless mechs and takes them on a wild ride 25,000 feet up in the air. Once he’s extracted the scraps of info he needs from his victims he sets them free. Free to fall to their imminent destruction.
Mixmaster Decepticon Shock Trooper
Alt Mode – GMC Cement Mixer Truck
With thick armor, a heavy rocket launcher, and a slow pace, Mixmaster is a tough “tank”. He is extremely determined but single-minded. Once given orders or pointed in a certain direction he can only focus on the current task at hand. He’s able to shrug off attacks that would destroy or at least cripple other Cybertronians. He fought Ironhide in Tranquility, CA, USA not too long before the battle at Mission City, and was momentarily defeated. He recovered and is currently on the loose.
Overcast Decepticon Engineer, Bombardier
Alt Mode – MiG-29 Fulcrum Fighter Jet
Overcast was constructed from a Decepticon Drone based on the “Dreadwing Structure”, and has come to Earth to plague the momentarily-victorious Autobots. He is extremely brilliant and skilled at creating new inventions and weapons. He constantly upgrades himself with prototype weaponry. His name comes from his ability to generate a self-made cloud bank around him, giving him perfect camouflage on a cloudy or stormy day. His main arsenal is a cache of nanite bombs that release hundreds of corrosion-inducing nano machines upon impact.
Payload Decepticon Supply Overseer, Martial Combatant
Alt Mode – Bulldog II Armored Truck
The Decepticons need two commodities in the war against the Autobots: energy and currency. Both power the war machines of the Decepticon Empire, keeping the Decepticon warriors supplied with weaponry and fueled for battle. Payload is the mech behind keeping the Decepticons stocked full of both energy and currency. His job is to locate any and all forms of fuel and money for the Decepticons to use on various worlds across the vastness of space. He is well-armored, tough, and strong. He is also a skilled martial combatant and brawler. His midsection converts into a powerful, crushing grappler claw-arm.
Scrapper Decepticon Warrior
Alt Mode – Forklift
Scrapper is a vicious, quick-footed melee fighter. He charges in fast and attacks in close. He uses his alternative mode’s forks as sharp blade-like arm weapons. He is relatively small compared to most Earth-bound Cybertronians and is one of the most physically weak mechs of the war (except ones such as Frenzy). He was disabled for a short while by Bumblebee after a quick skirmish. He is now back online and disappeared somewhere in Mission City, USA.
Stockade Decepticon Brute
Alt Mode – Sector Seven Cadillac Escalade
Stockade was created during Megatron’s defeat when extra outpours of Allspark energy lashed out. Some of that energy hit a nearby Sector Seven SUV, reforming it into Stockade. If he wasn’t at war with the Autobots on Earth, he’d be breaking kneecaps and collecting credits for loan sharks across the universe. He thrives on hurting others and causing pain all the way around. He isn’t particularly loyal to Starscream but is content with listening to him since Starscream offers Stockade plenty of opportunity to hurt other sentient beings.
Swindle Decepticon Warrior, Interrogation
Alt Mode – Chevrolet Cobalt
Dumb as a brick, excitable, and a lover of blowing things up, that’s what Swindle is. He was once a mindless Decepticon Drone, and still is fairly mindless despite having a spark. He is easily the stupidest Decepticon within the ranks. He was brought to Earth for one purpose: cause explosions, and thus create havoc for the Autobots. He leaps and hops around battlefields, firing randomly at his targets. As long as something blows up while he is shooting he doesn’t actually care too much if he is destroying Autobots. He is also an enthusiastic but pathetically inefficient interrogator.
Wreckage Decepticon Fighter
Alt Mode – M1126 Stryker Infantry Carrier
While Brawl is the hot-blooded destroyer of the Decepticons, Wreckage is the stone-cold fighter. Calm, quiet, and methodical, he lives for the sound of metal on metal as his twin swords pierce through Autobot armor and circuitry. While he has excellent firepower via his abdominal cannon, Wreckage dislikes using it unless he absolutely has to do so. He would much rather get in close and look into the optics of his foes as he decimates them. Shortly after arriving on Earth, he was temporarily disabled by an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) when the Decepticons attacked a United States military base in Afghanistan. The Decepticons removed his stasis-locked body and hid him away from prying humans. Wreckage had not regained consciousness in time for the battle at Mission City and was not present during Megatron’s defeat.
X-Bot Decepticon Warrior
Alt Mode – X-Box 360
Very little is known about X-Bot, as he escaped quickly while the Autobots and Decepticons were raging their battle in Mission City, USA. He was brought to life when Sam Witwicky accidentally activated the energies of the Allspark. X-Bot is built similar to Frenzy, being small, lanky, and quick. Very few have actually seen his robot form and most regard him as little more than a loose end needing to eventually be tied up.

Humans

Samuel James Witwicky Sam Witwicky is the descendent of Archibald Witwicky, the discoverer who accidentally found Megatron frozen in the Arctic Circle. He is high-strung, witty, and talks way too much some times, but is a good kid really. Sam is now in possession of Archibald’s glasses which have the location of the Allspark inscribed on the lenses. The Decepticons want the Allspark and have dispatched Barricade and Frenzy to locate Sam and the glasses. Bumblebee is now in charge of protecting Sam and his friend Mikela. [image]
