Story Post:
There were numerous datapads sitting on Ratchet's desk. Patient reports, medical texts and supply order forms were scatttered across the usually clean surface. That morning had been somewhat busy. The last group of patients, being the unlucky mechs they were, had been playing football with the Dinobots. 'Must have their proccessors halfway up their tailpipes to be so stupid.'

Ratchet paused reading the file he was currently holding. He could hear the noise out in the hallway and just knew it was headed for him.

"Why me?"

Re: The Medbay
Post by ender on Feb 29, 2008, 1:26am

The noise was Prowl, hopping on one foot down the hall.

Prowl opened the door and leaned in the door frame, he looked slightly battered. The reason he had been hopping on the one foot was that it was the only foot he had...

"Li'l help?"
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Feb 29, 2008, 1:31am

Ratchet narrowed his eyes at Prowl before he stood up to help him to a repair berth. Normally Prowl didn't 'hop' to his medbay missing limbs.

"What in the name of Primus happend?"
Re: The Medbay
Post by ender on Feb 29, 2008, 1:34am

"Um... I lost it." Prowl replied. He smirked just a little.
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Feb 29, 2008, 1:40am

"You lost it?"

Ratchet moved away to gather the needed tools and quickly commed Wheeljack letting him know that he needed replacement parts. He moved back to the berth and began repairs, working in complete silence for a few breems. Ratchet suddenly stopped, his CPU no longer allowing him to function without an answer.

"Where is your foot?"
Re: The Medbay
Post by ender on Feb 29, 2008, 1:43am

"Somewhere, Ratchet..." Prowl said, hopping over to a maintenance lift. ... even as we speak, your opposite number at Decepticon HQ is pulling it out of Starscream's skidplates."
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Feb 29, 2008, 4:18am

Ratchet watched Prowl leave, speechless. After a few breems of staring at the door to the maitenance lift he finally reacted.

"What?"
Re: The Medbay
Post by skyswipe on Feb 29, 2008, 8:22am

As the doors to the lift opened, Sideswipe saw Prowl hopping towards him. "Ah, you too huh?" Sideswipe stepped off the lift carrying his own severed arm, with the only functional arm he had left. He was one of the unfortunate ones that had decided to answer the Dinobots' challenge for a little game of football, not one of his better decisions. The crimson racer's twin didn't fare any better than he did. In fact, Sideswipe had no doubt that Sunstreaker was probably only a matter of astroseconds behind him; Primus forbid that his paintjob actually get scratched or dirty.

"Err... Hiya Ratch," Sideswipe stammered at first, but then that trademark grin spread across his metallic face as he walked into the Medbay. Sideswipe had to be careful here as the Autobot medic was probably still angry about the last prank he had pulled on him over a month ago. Ratchet wasn't really the forgiving type of Mech, and his memory chips were in excellent condition; so this was not going to be easy.

Time to introduce a little of that Sideswipe charm...

"Has your chassis decreased in density since the last time I saw you?"
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Feb 29, 2008, 4:11pm

Ratchet didn't even wait for an explanation. As soon as Sideswipe was in range Ratchet threw the closest tool he could find.

"Why must everything you do aggrivate me?"
Re: The Medbay
Post by jonhide on Mar 1, 2008, 4:40am

Sunstreaker waltzed into the Medbay, he looked around with his one good optic. Oh how he hated coming here of all places. Prowl was here too, that certainly didn't help matters.

Grimlock had severely damaged Sunstreaker's left optic in a hard clothesline tackle. Grimlock's forearm spike slammed right into 'Streaker's face at the last second.

"You are such a turbo-dork.", Sunstreaker said to Sideswipe as he heard he "compliment" to Ratchet. Sunstreaker walked to a berth as Ratchet tried to assault his Twin with a tool. Sunstreaker sat down and stretched out, laying on the berth.

"I need you to fix this now Ratchet.", Sunstreaker called out.
Re: The Medbay
Post by ender on Mar 1, 2008, 10:32am

"Wait your turn, Sunstreaker." Said Prowl. "I still got one of these left."
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 1, 2008, 4:52pm

"All of you shut up."

Ratchet put his hand over his face and shuttered his optics. His day was going from bad to worse by the second. Having both Sunstreaker and Sideswipe in the medbayat the same timenever ended well.

"Prowls injuries will be fixed first then Sideswipes." Ratchet gave Sunstreaker a pointed look. "You can wait."
Re: The Medbay
Post by skyswipe on Mar 2, 2008, 6:22am

"Whoa," Sideswipe barely managed to avoid Ratchet's wrench as he tried to duck for cover. Had he been in optimal condition, such an attempt on Ratchet's part wouldn't have come close.

Despite the fact that Sideswipe had 3 interceptions and 2 touchdowns against the Dino-klutzes; he still managed to come out of the game a loser. Especially, since Grimlock had decided to make lunch out of the Twin's arm; now he stood there trying to get fixed by a mech he knew would rather turn him into scrap metal.

"Heh-haha, Hey Ratch, how's that laser scalpel of yours working today;" he chuckled at the grumpy medic. Last month, Sideswipe had snuck into the medbay and rigged the white Autobot's laser scalpel to explode right in his face. Apparently, Ratchet hadn't forgiven him yet.... If he ever would at all that is.

"Hey Bro, why don't you go and get that dent out of your hood? It doesn't look very becoming of you," he fired back at his brother's insult; "who knows, maybe a femme could come walking in right now, and you wouldn't have your game face on."

Sideswipe walked over and stood next to Sunstreaker, as the two eagerly awaited their repairs. "I still say we could've taken those single-chipped, overgrown lizards... We should go and ask for a rematch," he addressed the yellow Lamborghini. Despite their outstanding display of acrobatics and 'fancy footwork,' the two brothers had not performed as well as they usually did. Sideswipe did not take defeat easy, and he knew that Sunstreaker took it even worse than he did.
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 2, 2008, 4:31pm

"Ugh, can't you have someone else fix you, like Wheeljack or Hoist."

Ratchet intentionally ignored the comment about his laser scalpel. There was no use getting angry about it now. Anyway, Sideswipe would get his.

At that point Wheeljack came in with the replacement parts for Prowl. He quickly set to work, ignoring everything Sunstreaker and Sideswipe had to say.
Re: The Medbay
Post by skyswipe on Mar 4, 2008, 1:00am

Sideswipe had to admit that Ratchet had a point. Better to ask Wheeljack to fix him, especially since he had just walked into the room, rather than having to deal with Ratchet. There was no telling what Ratchet might do to Sideswipe, if he still wanted to retaliate for the Twin's latest stunt. Come to think of it... Ratchet had been a bit too quick to defer Sideswipe to Wheeljack or Hoist, Sideswipe wondered as the slightest trace of paranoia kicked in.

Maybe he wanted the red bot to go and see Wheeljack for a reason; maybe he had something planned for him...

Nah... Not Wheeljack, he's not the joking type, he thought to himself. Although that might've been what Ratchet and Wheeljack wanted him to think. Sideswipe figured that regardless of whether it was a ploy or not, that he would be better off dealing with Wheeljack. He walked over to the Autobot 'Mad Scientist' and watched as he continued working on Prowl.

"Hey Wheeljack, I've kinda been having some problems with Ratch lately... You think maybe you could take a look at me and help me out?" Sideswipe continued to clutch his severed arm in his other good one; a few electrical shorts were clearly visible in the damaged arm. He studied Wheeljack for a moment, and awaited his answer.
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 4, 2008, 1:06am

Wheeljack laughed as he direct Sideswipe to one of the empty berths.

"Ya know, if you're scared of him you should probably leave his tools alone.
Re: The Medbay
Post by jonhide on Mar 4, 2008, 2:22am

Sunstreaker huffed at Prowl's "orders" of waiting. He put his hands behind his head as he laid there on the berth. His head hurt a lot, but he wasn't about to groan and complain on it. At least not when it wasn't useful for him to do so.

"Best to leave the Doc alone 'Swipe. He might rewire you to be a service drone. Not that, that wouldn't have it's perks.", Sunstreaker said to his Twin.
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 5, 2008, 5:57pm

"I'll rewire both of you if you don't stay out of the medbay."

Ratchet finished his repairs on Prowl releasing him. He turned to see Wheeljack working on Sideswipe, so he moved on to Sunstreaker. He pulled out a scanner, just to make sure there wasn't any damage he couldn't see.
Re: The Medbay
Post by skyswipe on Mar 6, 2008, 4:42am

Sideswipe laid on one of the berths as Wheeljack began rewiring his damaged arm. The red racer raised his head to look over at Ratchet working on his brother. “Hey Ratch, I think Sunstreaker took some serious shots and could be leaking lubricants internally, you might want to bring him offline in order to better assess the damage,” Sideswipe hollered over to the pair, while he chuckled to himself.

“Then again, he’s looking pretty dirty; Hey Wheeljack maybe you could give him a new paintjob? I think either hot pink or purple would do nicely don’t you?” Sideswipe laid his head back down on the slab and relaxed as the big white Autobot engineer continued to work on him.
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 6, 2008, 5:35am

First Aid smiled to himself as he came into the familiar room that was the medical bay, looking around and taking in the surroundings. He always loved the time when his shift began, it meant another day where he could practice his skills and become the best healer he could be, helping another to recover from grave injuries and life shattering ailments! Or perhaps just a dent...

He smiled as he approached Wheeljack, "Hey Jack! You need some assistance?" He looked over Sideswipe's arm. "What in the name of Primus did you do?"
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 6, 2008, 5:46am

"He's just a glitch."

When all the scans came page negative Ratchet went to grab one of his laser scalpels. He hesitated just before picking it up but just scowled in Sideswipes direction before turning it on and beginning his work on Sunstreaker.
------------------------------

"If you wouldn't mind helping 'Aid."

Wheeljack began to inspect Sideswipes arm to make sure all the wiring was still in place.

"Looks like all we need ta do is reconnect it. Who's bright idea was it to play football with the Dinobots anyway?"
Re: The Medbay
Post by ender on Mar 6, 2008, 8:56am

"It was mine..." Groaned an embarrassed voice.

Optimus Prime stood in the door way, a hand on his back, he was clearly nursing some sort of spinal actuator injury. "Spike suggested I watch this "Supper bolle" on television." He tried to explain. "I was having trouble understanding the appeal, so i thought-" Prime tried to straighten a little there was a horrible sound of grinding metal from his back. "Ahhhh... That's not good."

Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 6, 2008, 5:37pm

Ratchet pointed to one of the empty berths.

"There. Now. Try not to move until I get there."
Re: The Medbay
Post by jonhide on Mar 6, 2008, 7:40pm

Sunstreaker gave Sideswipe the Cybertronian version of the finger. He wanted to talk, but knew that Ratchet needed him to keep his head and face as still as possible.

Sunstreaker would get his Twin back for it later. He looked up at Ratchet, wondering what the doctor was thinking. Then First Aid showed up. Sunstreaker sighed at the thought of First Aid being in the room.
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 6, 2008, 8:34pm

"Football with the Dinobots? You all must have your wires crossed!"

These bots were crazy! They all couldn't have gotten hurt much worse than they did! The Dinobots were vicious and wild, they couldn't control their own strength! What if something much worse had happened!? "Please... I beg you to be more careful in the future. One of you could have had much more serious damage."

First Aid gently lifted Sideswipe's repaired arm and took it over to him, setting about the task of reattaching it.
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 6, 2008, 8:42pm

Ratchet grunted in agreement and continues working on repairing Sunstreakers damaged optic.

"First Aid, when you're done with Sideswipe's arm get him out of here and get to work on Optimus."
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 6, 2008, 8:59pm

"You got it boss."

Reattaching Sideswipe's arm was easy enough, and when he was finished patted Sideswipe's newly repaired shoulder. "There you go, you're all finished. Please be more careful."

First Aid may have been Ratchet's apprentice, but he did not share in his ill temper. With that done, First Aid prepared a tool tray and headed over to Prime's berth, "Could you tell me exactly what's wrong?"
Re: The Medbay
Post by jonhide on Mar 6, 2008, 9:23pm

Sunstreaker pushed Ratchet's arm away for a moment as he spoke, "Why do you even bother with that...welder?"

Sunstreaker groaned a bit as he looked over with his good optic at First Aid working on Sideswipe. "He's so...pacifist and annoying."
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 6, 2008, 9:33pm

"Why I even bother with you is a better question, and I ask it of myself everyday."

Ratchet moved his arm back and continued welding the few torn optic wires back together. He was quiet for a few breems before speaking again.

"A mech's worth isn't always found in how well he fights. It would do you well to learn that."

Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 6, 2008, 9:34pm

First Aid narrowed his optics behind his visor and he looked over at Sunstreaker, "Being an annoying pacifist is better than being a psychopathic warrior, no names mentioned..."

He turned back to his tool tray and continued setting things up.
Re: The Medbay
Post by jonhide on Mar 6, 2008, 9:42pm

Sunstreaker pushed Ratchet away again, "You've never seen psychopathic from me yet, but I'll be glad to show you!" Sunstreaker started to sit up.
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 6, 2008, 9:43pm

Ratchet pushed Sunstreaker back down on the berth.

"NOT in my medbay!"
Re: The Medbay
Post by jonhide on Mar 6, 2008, 9:47pm

Sunstreaker glared at Ratchet, "You're lucky I need these repairs Aid, but once you walk out this Medbay you won't have Ratchet to keep you safe." Sunstreaker relaxed back into the berth.
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 6, 2008, 9:52pm

First Aid nearly dropped the tool he had when Sunstreaker had attempted to come at him in a threatening manner, instead taking a step back and tensing in alarm. He knew Sunstreaker had violent tendencies, but he didn't think he would actually threaten him with bodily harm. "I'm... I'm sorry..."

Perhaps he wouldn't leave medical today... yeah seemed like a good idea... "Boss? Can I take an extra shift? Uh... please?"
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 6, 2008, 9:55pm

"I could always use the extra help with the inventory."

Ratchet kept his hand firmly in place on Sunstreakers chassis. "You," he glared at the yellow mech, "Will make yourself scarce when these repairs are finished."
Re: The Medbay
Post by jonhide on Mar 6, 2008, 10:11pm

Sunstreaker smiled menacingly, "Sure. As long as you can keep being adequate enough for me."
Re: The Medbay
Post by ender on Mar 7, 2008, 10:58am

Prime sat up. It clearly hurt.

"Sunstreaker, Stand Down." Prime blamed himself for all this. He had misjudged how injured the humans were willing to get during a "game". It was not his intention to fill the medbay.

"If I hear one more cross word, you'll find yourself at another one of Prowl's lectures on the importance of discipline.
Re: The Medbay
Post by jonhide on Mar 7, 2008, 8:05pm

"Oh big deal, Prime.", Sunstreaker mocked faintly. He wasn't afraid of Optimus nor Prowl's lectures, though he knew he was on the verge of really overstepping his boundaries here.
Re: The Medbay
Post by ender on Mar 7, 2008, 8:11pm

Prime's eyes narrowed. "Excuse me?"
Re: The Medbay
Post by jonhide on Mar 7, 2008, 8:15pm

"Nothing." Sunstreaker looked away from where Prime was.
Re: The Medbay
Post by ender on Mar 7, 2008, 8:20pm

Prime laid back. 'That was unlplesent' He thought to himself He'd rather stare down Devastator then berate his fellow warriors, but he couldn't have officers threatening each other.

Where was Prowl when he needed him?
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 7, 2008, 9:22pm

First Aid was clearly uncomfortable with this little squabble, but he supposed that was just the way of some bots... "Prime please lay on your stomach for me so I can properly assess your injury. If you keep moving around like this you could damage yourself further."
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 7, 2008, 9:36pm

Ratchet finished welding the optic wires together and, none to gently, pushed a new shield into place. He stepped back from the berth and pointed to the door. He gave Sunstreaker a very dark glare.

"Get out, and you better not show your face around her unless you're leaking fluids."
Re: The Medbay
Post by ender on Mar 7, 2008, 11:43pm

"Affirmative." Prime said as he rolled over. "Thank you, First Aid."
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 8, 2008, 12:06am

"Of course Prime..."

First Aid gently eased open Prime's back armor and quickly assessed the damage within. "Looks like you blew a strut... Nothing serious."

He picked up a tool and began his repairs.

Re: The Medbay
Post by skyswipe on Mar 8, 2008, 12:43am

“Thanks doc, I feel good as new,” Sideswipe replied as he tested the arm’s movement. “Say, you’re much more pleasant to be around instead of Ratch; maybe I’ll have you do all of my repairs from now on,” he smiled at First Aid.

The red mech walked over and stood in the corner to wait for his brother; and to get out of the way so the two medical officers’ could continue their work. Just as he was getting comfortable, Sideswipe heard the exchange between Sunstreaker, First Aid, and later Prime when he jumped in to reprimand the yellow twin.

“There you go opening your vocal processors again,” Sideswipe chuckled; “You really need to keep that temper of yours in check, Bro.”
Re: The Medbay
Post by jonhide on Mar 8, 2008, 12:56am

Sunstreaker sat up, testing his optic as he spoke, "Whatever Ratchet."

Sunstreaker stood up and glared at Sideswipe, "Oh shut the frag up! You never have room to talk! Always scrapping yourself instead of the Decepticons!"

Sunstreaker stormed past his Twin, making sure his shoulder connected with his brother's.

Sunstreaker paused and looked back momentarily, "I'll be back around Aid. Keep that in mind!"
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 8, 2008, 5:31am

"Just get out!"

Ratchet threw a spare datapad at the door as the two Lamborghini's left. He moved to watch First Aid as he worked on Optimus Prime.
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 8, 2008, 6:32pm

First Aid faltered slightly in his repairs at Sunstreaker's threat, drawing his hands back and taking a deep intake before beginning again. "Boss?"

He glanced at Ratchet briefly, "Did... Sunstreaker really mean that? Would he really try and hurt me?"
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 8, 2008, 6:36pm

"You said it yourself, the mech's a sociopath. I think Sideswipe will keep him in line though. Focus on you're repairs."

Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 8, 2008, 6:41pm

"Y-yes sir..."

He thought? Well that was very comforting... not. Sideswipe would perhaps keep Sunstreaker's temper in check, the key word there being perhaps. First Aid never had a reason to fear his fellow Autobots, first time for everything he supposed...

He quickly finished up his repairs and gently closed Prime's armor plating, wiping his hands on a cloth. "There you go sir... It may be a bit tender, but with a little rest and relaxation that should go away."
Re: The Medbay
Post by ender on Mar 8, 2008, 8:35pm

"Thank you, First Aid" Prime said as he stood up. "Feels just fine. And don't worry about Sunstreaker, he's all vocal processor. Just ask his brother."
Re: The Medbay
Post by skyswipe on Mar 9, 2008, 4:45am

“Hey watch it, you glitch!” Sideswipe hollered to his brother, as he nearly knocked him down on his way out. The red twin turned around just in time to be hit in the chest with Ratchet’s flying data pad. “Do you guys mind? I think I’ve taken enough damage for the day,” the Lambo brother muttered. It appeared that Sunstreaker was going to be in one of his moods for the rest of the day, Sideswipe wasn’t looking forward to it either. Whenever his yellow twin was throwing one of his temper tantrums, hardly anyone could straighten him out, even Sideswipe had trouble managing him under those conditions.

The red bot’s thoughts were interrupted when his audio receivers picked up Optimus Prime’s voice, “Yeah don’t worry about him First Aid, he’s really rather pleasant once you get to know him,” Sideswipe grinned half-heartedly. “Now Ratchet over there on the other hand… He could give the Dinobots’ mean streak a run for their money. He’s the one I’d watch out for if I were you,” Sideswipe prepared himself for a possible barrage of flying objects from the grumpy white medic.

"JUST GET OUT OF MY MEDBAY!"
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 9, 2008, 9:32pm

First Aid couldn't help but giggle on Sideswipe's quip about Ratchet. It was true that Ratchet did have a short fuse, and he could be harsh and angry, but he was a healer with a good spark that truly did care about his patients. "I'll keep that in mind Sideswipe. Have a good day!"

First Aid then turned to the task of sterilizing all the used berths and tools.
Re: The Medbay
Post by jonhide on Mar 9, 2008, 11:08pm

Sunstreaker just left. As he left the Medbay, Sunstreaker punched the wall right outside the Medbay door, leaving a dent in it. "Frag off, all of ya!"
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 9, 2008, 11:30pm

"Fragging Lamborghinis. Pain in my aft."

Ratchet continued to grumble under his breath as he started collecting tools to clean.
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 12, 2008, 2:03am

First Aid briefly looked up from sterilizing the berth that Sideswipe had recently occupied. "I don't know boss... Sideswipe actually seems... like a pretty nice mech. It's Sunstreaker that scares me..."

He shuddered as he remembered the golden twin's threat on his health.
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 12, 2008, 7:22pm

"You should be worried about him, the mech doesn't know when to quit. I'm sure he'll take his aggression out on a minibot, just try not to bait him next time."

Ratchet brought over a tray full of tools for First Aid to sterilize.

"When you're done with these we have the rest of the inventory to do."

Red Alert staggered into medbay. He was missing one of his arms and most of his Exo-Structure on his Chest plate was torn off.
"Help me....." Red Alert was able to utter before collapsing.
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 13, 2008, 8:12pm

There was a slight pause before Ratchet moved. When he reached Red Alert's side he began sealing all of the major energon leaks off.

"First Aid, help me get him to a berth!"
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 14, 2008, 12:50am

"Y-yes sir!"

Primus what had happened!? What could have caused this kind of damage? Decepticons maybe? But why would Red Alert be tangling with cons? First Aid moved around to Red Alert's head and scooted his arms underneath the comatose security director, hooking under his armpits and lifting, helping Ratchet carry him to a berth before running off to prepare tools.
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 14, 2008, 10:02pm

"He's lost alot of energon, he'll need more or his reserves will run out."

Ratchet continued clamping down the leaking energon tubes, rerouting many of them to his fuel pump. They worked for a few breems in silence, focusing on the repairs.
Re: The Medbay
Post by neko on Mar 16, 2008, 7:51am

Smokescreen walked quickly and purposfully into the Medbay, his optics seeking out the security officer.

"Frag, Red," He cursed. "What happned to 'im Ratchet? I saw 'im limpin' down the hall, leaving trails of energon."
Re: The Medbay
Post by skyswipe on Mar 17, 2008, 12:53am

Inferno came running into the entryway; word had reached him (from Blurr no doubt) that his best friend had been hurt bad and was taken to the medbay for emergency repairs.

"What's *huff* going *huff* on Ratch? I just heard," Inferno was clearly out of breath. He was ok, but he had used up a lot of power to get there so fast. Red Alert could be annoying or even irritating at times, but he was still his best friend and he would do anything he could to help a fellow mech in need.

"Is there anything I can do to help? I have some basic medical knowledge, although I'm sure it doesn't compare to present company; still I'll help if I can."
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 17, 2008, 7:22pm

"Yes, you can please move out of my way!"

First Aid almost shoved Inferno aside as he ran back to the berth, laden down with a few tools and emergency energon packets. He immediately set up an infusion for Red Alert and began assisting Ratchet in the repairs. "Forgive my behavior Inferno..."
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 18, 2008, 4:31am

"Unless you're planning on donating some of your energon get out!"

Ratchet began picking up and using tools the minute First Aid had them within his reach.

"Energy levels are going back up," he nodded his head at First Aid, "He's lucky there's no damage to his spark chamber or energon pump. Can't say the same for some of his circuitry.
Re: The Medbay
Post by neko on Mar 18, 2008, 4:51am

Smokescreen looked down at the battered security officer and shrugged, "Sure, I'll give some energon."

In the back of his mind, a small part of his processor went, huh?!
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 18, 2008, 5:05am

First Aid looked up at Smokescreen, actually wondering if he was serious. "Okay..." He picked up a huge, menacing hypodermic needle. "I'll just have to insert this into your fuel pump and with draw the energon..."
Re: The Medbay

Ironhide stood in the doorway, watching the spectacle. Ironhide took a step into the Medbay, "Back down Smokes. I need ya t'go to these coordinates and see if the rumors of a new Decepticreep outpost are true." He handed Smokescreen the datapad. "Meet up with Hound and go. Now."

Ironhide walked past First Aid and sat on a berth. "Aid, git yer aft over here and start drawin'!"

Prowl strode into the bay as if nothing were happening. He tossed the mangled remains of an arm to First Aid.

"I found Slag chewing on this next to the press box when I went out to do the bi-weekly human press conference." This clearly did not make Prowl happy. He looked to Ironhide, "That's very noble old friend, but this isn't a field hospital. Theres a recharge socket right behind you." Then he swept over to Ratchet, "Doc... don't mess with Smokescreen's processors. You know he's been a little..." Prowl made a hand gesture to indicate instablity, " ... since that incident with the anti-matter." Prowl turned again to find him self face to point with the needle First Aid was threatening Smokescreen with. He paused. "Point that thing someplace else, kid." He spoke to Inferno as he walked past him towards the door. "Inferno, Hot Spot "helped" the Central City Fire Dept. again. Please go into the city and straiten things out." He spun around and walked backwards through the exit. "Remember, full regiment briefing at 600 hours, any one who is absent, OR LATE, "He looked at Ironhide, "Will NOT be attending the human water park opening. I mean it." and with that he was gone.

First Aid squeaked as he caught the amputated arm, cringing in initial disgust before relaxing and examining the arm. Was this... Red Alert's? He could barely recognize it. "Um... Doc? What do I do with this?"
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 20, 2008, 12:39am

Ratchet looked up to examine the arm.

"It's useless, Wheeljack will have to make another one."
Re: The Medbay
Post by skyswipe on Mar 20, 2008, 1:12am

Inferno was annoyed at the way everyone seemed to toss him off to the side, Red Alert was closer to him more than anyone else; if ANYONE were going to donate anything, it was going to be him! Unfortunately, before he could let them all know just how angry he was Prowl showed up and gave him new orders. Inferno figured that he just wanted to get him out of there, everyone knew how close he and Red were, probably didn't want Inferno getting distracted from his regular duties.

"Again..?" The red firetruck muttered to himself as he walked out of the medbay, he was going to have a talk with Hot Spot when he got back.
Re: The Medbay
Post by jonhide on Mar 22, 2008, 4:02am

Grimlock walked by Inferno as he exited, nearly shoving him to the side like a tinfoil sculpture. "Out of way."

Grimlock entered the Medbay. He hated the Medbay, usually refusing outright of going in unless it was life-threatening. Which it rarely was. The Dinobot Leader glared around the room. He hated the smell and the sounds. Irritating.

Grimlock's visor flashed a bit as he walked up to Ratchet. "Suggest you fix Paranoid fast. Me have little patience for wait.", Grimlock barked at Ratchet. He stared down the medic.

Ratchet didn't even look up when he heard the Dinobot make his 'request'.

"If you aren't leaking something get out. I'll deal with you later Grimlock."
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 23, 2008, 11:07pm

"Um... Grimlock if you need something I'll be happy to take care of it. Red Alert needs Ratchet's attention right now..."

First Aid was always a little nervous around the Dinobots, especially Grimlock. Swoop was probably the only Dinobot he could tolerate.
Did you know that in some fandoms, Swoop is also Ratchet's apprentice? *giggles* I wonder if Swoop is taken...
"First Aid, continue the repairs on Red Alert."

Ratchet scoweled at Grimlock as he came around the berth, still holding a arc-welder.

"What do you want?"

That shove almost sent the pacifistic protectobot sprawling to the floor! Who did he think he was!? Shoving him like that? In his mind, First Aid was cursing Grimlock up a storm, on the outside he was just gawking at Grimlock.

However, the voice of his mentor brought him out of his stupor. "Yes sir!"

He was happy that attention was diverted from him and he quickly ran around the berth to pick up the repairs that Ratchet had left.

"Me can not transform. Cog broke Me think. Irritating burning in lower side.", Grimlock grunted, "Dinobots need Dino modes. Fix it now."

Grimlock glared at the medic with his usual emotionless stare, unconcerned of the arc-welder.

"You want me to rush a surgery because you can't transform?"

Ratchet offlined his optics for a few seconds, trying to regulate the air that was rushing out of his vents. There were only a few times in history where Ratchet had nothing to say, this was one of those times. Ratchet put his hand up before turning away from Grimlock.

"Go find Wheeljack.. "

"Where Wheeljack then?! Him was here. Me not have time to search all day for flashy-eared worker! Paranoid be fine. Slap new chest plate and arm on! Send him on him way!", Grimlock blurted without compassion for Red Alert's problems.
Re: The Medbay

If you do the math, a football team needs 11 players on the field, there are only 5 Dinobots. Somebody had to play on their team...

"Name is Hot Spot, I'm here to say,
Can flatten 'Cons any day.
When my pal 'Lock says he needs a line
I'll be there any time.
I didn't come here lookin' fo Trouble
Just came to do the Dinobot shuffle..."

Hot Spot's shoulder was barely attached to his torso, but it didn't seem to be affecting his terrible dancing.
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Mar 29, 2008, 6:02pm

First Aid could recognize that singing anywhere, and he was thankful that he had a mask to hide his smile of amusement. Hotspot always managed to make him smile... he glanced up as he heard his brother and gestalt mate come in, and he faltered his repairs. "Primus Hotspot!"

He resisted the urge to rush to his brother's side and help him, desperately resisted the urge. Red Alert was top priority right now, and he couldn't afford to leave him just to assist his brother. "What happened to your arm?"
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 29, 2008, 10:33pm

"What happened is most likely a byproduct of a stupidity that seems all too common here."

Ratchet broke optic contact and lost the glaring contest he was currently having with Grimlock. He quickly assessed Hot Spot's injuries, calculating the order in which all the mechs in the room needed to be repaired.

"Grimlock, find Wheeljack or wait."

He didn't wait for a reply before turning back to Red Alert.
Re: The Medbay

Grimlock cut the closest berth to him in half with his energo-sword and then stomped over to the wall-mounted comm terminal.

"Wheeljack back to Medbay. Now!", Grimlock growled over the comm-line that was throughout the Ark.
Re: The Medbay
Post by ender on Mar 30, 2008, 10:27pm

The feedback from Grimlock standing to close to the com. he made his announcemet mad Hot Spot cringe for a moment.

"My arm?" Hot Spot said. He looked at the dammaged extremity. "Oh yeah! Prime throws a mean Elbow, Bro. Like the rock and hard place of old, our commander is indeed an immovable object."
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Mar 31, 2008, 12:24am

Ratchet didn't flinch at Grimlocks loud and rude announcement, but he did throw Hot Spot a disgruntled look.

"You," he said, pointing at Hot Spot with a welder, "Get on the berth in the corner. If you make any noise I will weld your mouth components shut."
Re: The Medbay

"You got it Chief!" Hot Spot declared. "I will be silence it self. Not a peep."

...

"AID!" He shouted to his friend. "Here you are! I was looking for you! We needed a kicker. Pacifists can kick balls right?" He walked over to First Aid and Red Alert. "Who ya patchin'? Ahhh... I see." He leaned down to First Aid. "I'd just like to apologize again. The flesh creature didn't specify that we weren't supposed to transform before the "tackle"... and I just missed that you were supposed to have the ball."
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Apr 1, 2008, 2:25am

"Uh... well um... you see..." Everytime he tried to answer a question, or make a comment, Hot Spot would ask another or add another. First Aid felt a bit overwhelmed, from having his arms elbow deep in Red Alert's chest, to having Grimlock making a ruckus in the medbay, now having Hot Spot bombard him with conversation, it was seriously affecting his concentration!!

He took his hands away from Red Alert and turned to Hot Spot, "Brother! Zip it for a sec! Listen, okay? I apologise for my behavior, but my processors can only focus on one thing at a time! And right now, I have to focus on Red Alert. So, please do me a favor and take a seat on one of the berths. Either me or Ratchet will assist you when we're finished with our security director!"

He took a deep intake and let it out slowly, "Please Hot Spot... We'll take care of you in a bit... Just sit down and relax, okay?"
Re: The Medbay

"Understood Li'l buddy!" Hot Spot smacked first aid on the shoulder, hard. "I'll just be over there..." He eyed the members of the losing team, "...Reining VICTORIOUS!" He high fived Grimlock as he passed... and his arm fell off. He stared at the arm.

"Must happen a lot in football. Can't wait to try Rugby."
Re: The Medbay
Post by jonhide on Apr 1, 2008, 7:10pm

Grimlock looked at Hot Spot with disgust. He then looked at the hand Hot Spot had hit in his high five, then he looked back at Hot Spot. "Me hate you. Just know this.", Grimlock muttered as he leaned up against the wall near the Medbay doorway.

Grimlock continued to watch Hot Spot. Hot Spot was an idiot, but a good warrior. Grimlock respectfully hated the Protectobot leader.

Ironhide watched all the commotion and shook his head. He then walked over to Ratchet. "I took care of that one thing ya needed.", Ironhide said crypticly before heading towards the Medbay door.

Grimlock glared at Hot Spot, his red visor burning brighter in utter dislike.

Ironhide walked past Grimlock, giving him a quick glance. Grimlock looked over to Ironhide.

"What you want, scrapheap?", Grimlock grumbled at Ironhide.

"Nothin' lizard breath.", Ironhide said as he kept walking, leaving the Medbay.

"Primus."

Ratchet and First Aid continued working on Red Alert. Wheeljack still hadn't brought up a replacement arm but he was stable at this point.

"Let's move him to a far berth, away from the others until he comes out of stasis," Ratchet nodded his head toward First Aid, "Oh and good work today."
Re: The Medbay

Grimlock's non-existent patience was dissolving quickly. He slammed a fist into the wall as he leaned against it. He left a rather sizeable dent, as well as a puncture into the wall from his forearm spike.

"Wheeljack always take long!", he muttered.

First Aid nearly stumbled, again, as Hot Spot smacked him on the back. What was it with everyone and shoving him!? First Grimlock now his own brother? And to think, he was looking forward to his shift today.

He had to smile, though, as Ratchet gave him his praise. That made his day worthwhile. "Thanks Boss. Let's get him moved."
Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Apr 4, 2008, 11:53pm

As soon as Red Alert was safely out of the way Ratchet turned to survey the mess. A trail of destruction followed Grimlock when he was in a good mood so Ratchet wasn't surprised to see the damage. That didn't mean he wasn't angry though. He sent the large mech an angry glare before turning back to First Aid.

"You go take care of Hot Spot, I'll see what I can do about this." Ratchet gestured to the now messy Medbay. Red Alert had lost a great deal of energon, coating the floor and tables in the glowing pink liquid.

Ratchet discreetly pulled out his communicator and commed Wheeljack. Before the engineer could answer Ratchet growled, "If you aren't up here in less than a breem to fix Grimlock and get him the slag out of my Medbay I swear to Primus that I will dismantle you and display your parts on the wall." He forcefully shut the communicator off and began gathering up the tools they had used on Red Alert.
Re: The Medbay
Post by cyberwave on Apr 5, 2008, 12:09am

"Yes sir."

Maybe after this he could get some energon. He snatched up Hot Spot's arm and quickly walked over to him. "Bro, how did you manage this? It looks like Ravage tried to chew it off!"

He quickly set to work repairing the damaged wires and connections before even attempting to reattach it.

Re: The Medbay

Ratchet sent Grimlock another glare. "Whatever you say Grimlock."

Wheeljack did not want to go into the medbay. He wasn't stupid and he had heard Grimlocks 'announcement'. There was no way this was going to end well.

Grimlock pulled out his rocket launcher and blew up the berth beside Hot Spot, "Told ya. Lucky."

"AIEE!!" First Aid lept away from the berth as it exploded, tossing Hot Spot's severed arm in the air in his panic. He fell back on his aft, his fuel pump hammering in his chest. Then just to top off his embarrassment, the arm landed on his head, the hand dangling in front of his face. He squeaked again and promptly fell backwards on his back.

Grimlock didn't budge. He did put up his rocket launcher, however.

Re: The Medbay
Post by havoks on Apr 8, 2008, 1:38am

"He is the one putting your sorry chassis back together after fights. Without him you wouldn't be able to fight anymore."

Ratchet glanced around Grimlock and noticed movement just outside the medbay doors. He walked past the Dinobot and through the doors, coming face to face with Wheeljack. Ratchet glared at him for a few seconds before roughly grabbing him by the arm and pulling him inside the medbay.

Ratchet pushed Wheeljack towards Grimlock saying, "His transformation cog is blown, fix it and get him the slag out of here."

Wheeljack barely had the chance to acknowledge Ratchet before he was pushed in front of Grimlock.

"I'd say have a seat but you destroyed the berth... "

Red Alert slowly opened his optics and surveyed the room. He saw Ratchet, and First Aid close by, one on each side of the berth.
"Thank you Ratchet and Aid. That was a crazy game." Red then looked the rest of the room over, and he saw the Dinobot leader. His optics flahed a brilliant blue.

"Grimlock! Have you come to finish me off? Get him away from me! That crazy Dino almost ripped me apart try to get that 'football' that Spike had us play with. I'm lucky to even be alive!!!! Remind me to never ever agree to play again."

Grimlock stood up once his repairs were complete. He transformed into T-Rex mode. He took a few steps towards Red Alert and First Aid, then he growled softly. He wanted to make them aware of his ability to destroy them right now. His optics flashed a bit at them.

Grimlock then turned and nodded to both Ratchet and Wheeljack. It was his way of saying thanks, for the time being at least.

Grimlock transformed back into robot form as he walked towards the doorway. He stopped and turned to face First Aid. "You have guts. Maybe not so useless after all.", he said in a monotone voice.

Grimlock left the Medbay.

Groove popped into the medbay, somewhat distraught. He panned around it before finally setting optics on First Aid. "Aid!!! There you are!!!" He ran over with great haste and alarm.

"You gotta come quick! Hurry, hurry, hurry!" great urgency resonating from his voice.

"Gr-Groove!? What is it? What's wrong?"

First Aid put his hands on his brother's shoulders, "Bro, calm down... Tell me what's up."

"Streetwise cleaned my quarters! He organized everything!" replied a hasty Groove.

"And I got a flat and I can't find any of my spares!!!"

First Aid stared at him as if he had just transformed into a little slimy thing. "That's it? Streetwise cleaned up after you and now you can't find anything? Why not just ask him where he put it?"

First Aid sighed and rubbed at his visor, "Okay Groove... I'll help you look for them."

He sighed and stretched his spinal relays, "This has turned into a loooooong day..."

"WHAT!? But this is an emergency! All the others are doin' other stuff, you've got to help!"

Groove grabbed First Aid and then hoisted him over his shoulder. "Humph, been takin' down the eneron lately? Nah, I'm just kiddin' c'mon we gotta go!" Groove started running towards the door, First Aid in tow.

First Aid squeaked and instinctively struggled when Groove hauled him over his shoulder, "Hey!! Groove!? Hey! I'm still on duty!"

Not only that, he didn't want to leave! What if Sunstreaker was waiting for him!? Like he said he would be!? "Grooooooooooooove!!"

"Ha! You said duty! The humans tell me this is a phrase of much hilarity! Now lets hit the road!" Groove yelled as he attempted to pull First Aid through the molding of the door.

"Groove! Stop!"

He grabbed the door frame as they tried to leave. "Put me down!"

Groove gave one final heave before finally pulling Aid away from his last line of defense.

Someone yelling "Noooooooooooooooo!" in the background could be heard as they vanished from the medbay.
