plot Battle.
Story Post:
Megatron finished his bath, put away his rubber ducky and headed for
the bridge. There he found his crew idle. Inexcusable.
"Moral seems to be some what low.Time to stir up a little trouble
I think, Yessss." Megatron pulled forward his primary weapon. "Predicons! Mobalize, We attack the Maximal Base, at once!"
He chuckled.
"Occasional random violence enriches the spark, I always say."

Off to the side by herself, Black Arachnia leaned against
a wall, attempting to think of yet another web of trickery and schemes. But how was that going to happen if this dead zone
of limbo continued like it did? If SOMETHING didn't happen soon, she was going to rip someone's optics out. Possibly the next
one who walked near enough to strike.
Just then Megatron announced the attack on the Maximal base and strode past her.
Ok...so he was a little out of her maiming league. Whatever. At least she had something to maim now.
"Right behind
you, your majesty..." a sly smirk lifted her lips.

Tarantulus finished typing whatever insidious
thing he was doing. He closed the program and made sure to lock it, then he forwarded it to his private lair as Megatron entered
the room. He observed the exchange between Megatron and Black Arachnia.
"Perhaps you would rather have
me behind
you Mighty Megatron." he chuckled intesly. His spider legs began twitching excitedly. Not for the immenint attack to come
but more for the ingenious plot brewing within his traitorous mind.

exited the ship and transformed to his shiny, sleek transmetal spider mode. Then to his motorcycle mode. He laughed for no
reason as he peeled out and took off.

her optics at Tarantulus, she aslo made note to step a few paces away. He may have been her "creator" but she could never
supress the chills his laughter gave her.
"Better watch your back too..." she hissed, crawling behind them both in
her Beast Mode.

out of the Predacon base. He did not see the sentry he had assigned. "INFERNO! Where is that addled arthropod?"

"Predacons, Terrorize, and Attack!" Megatron transformed and opened fire.
Inferno
and Waspinator dispersed in the air and flew towards the exposed underside of the Axelon.

Tarantulus ran to his own bit of cover: some indiscriminate brown boulders as
though they were made
specifically for a fire fight. He chuckled immensly as he reared his ugly head from over the
boulders and opened fire upon the Axelon's defense grid with his dual, shoulder mounted missile launchers!

Miles away, Tigatron
paced the familiar verdant forest paths, pausing involuntarily to observe the frenetic yet beautiful dance of a lone butterfly.
Its golden and black wings fluttered with controlled chaos, defying the wind yet dancing upon it like an animated leaf.
"Although
I have the heart of a Maximal, my soul is that of a tiger," he murmured, recalling with a bittersweet calm a long-ago conversation
with Air Razor.
A wry smile crept across his usually serene features. "I suppose the Predacons' inaction of late has
left me with an excess of time to contemplate our condition on this planet . . . and perhaps sink to melancholy." He lifted
his gaze from the butterfly reluctantly as he turned back to the lush emerald darkness of the forest, his quiet mutterings
replaced by soft padding footfalls on fallen leaves and sweetly decaying vegetation.
Strangely, and somewhat disquietingly,
he found he almost wished for action to distract him from his compulsive and abstracted introspection.

BOOM! BRAK! BAM!
Rhinox stumbled and dropped
one of his potted plants as he heard the loud explosions and impacts hitting the defense shielding.
"SLAG!", Rhinox
said as he looked down at his broken plant. He took off towards the command chamber. He hit the "ALL POINTS ALERT" button
on the hallway wall as he ran by it.
Alarms blarred loudly.
Rhinox ran into the main command room and practically
dove into his chair. He began to rapidly tap keys, bringing up images of Predacon energy signatures and an outlying scan of
the area around the Axalon. Rhinox spun around looking for anyone else.
Primal ran into the room hitting the central
table's map projector and began working on cross-data files. "Rhinox! Bring up the--"
"Autoguns charging already, be
up in...5...4...3...2...1...AUTOGUNS ONLINE!", Rhinox exclaimed.
"Fliers coming around and up under us! Redirect fire
at them!", Primal ordered.
"Spreading weapons fire between them and Megatron!", Rhinox responded.
"So much for
a boring day, ehn?", Optimus said with a half-smirk.

Rattrap had just stepped into the sonic shower...
"Why does Primus hate me?" He shook his head
and sighed.
At that moment a hit shook thy base crossing the sonic emitter line with a pressurized coolant feed.
Coolent
blasted Rattrap clear out of the decontamination chamber and out into the hallway.

"Scans
show we're holding. No problems so far.". Rhinox called out to Optimus Primal.
Optimus punched a few keys, announcing
his voice over the Axalon's comm, "Rattrap, Dinobot, get to the bridge on the double!"
Optimus spun around activating
a section of the ceiling to slide down, revealing a small cache of weaponry. He picked up a large rifle and his twin scimitars,
storing them all on his back. He tossed Rhinox a spare rifle. "Get geared up, if the shields fail, we'll need to react quickly.",
Primal ordered.
Rhinox caught the rifle and set it beside his chair, leaning against the terminal. "Got it. I'm making
a Priority One call to Tigatron and Cheetor. Gonna pull them in, maybe give us some back up fire, pin the Preds in the middle."

Tarantulus chuckled horribly
as he fired missile after missile after missile onto the Axalon's shields, occasionally ducking to avoid some turret fire.

Megatron cane throw a decent party when he wants to, Nyahahaha!"

Tigatron's introspective stroll was abruptly interrupted by Rhinox's priority one call. "Sounds
as though I am needed," Tigatron murmured as he took off through the forest at top speed toward the Maximal base. With any
luck, he could sneak up on the Preds from behind and assist his allies in victory. Though he had no love of battle, Tigatron
could not accept the consequences of Predacon planetary dominance.
Understanding that an unobtrusive approach was critical,
he slowed as he neared the battle and skirted its perimeter, observing the Predacons' positions and the shocking blaze of
the firefight while traversing rocky red outcroppings and steep slopes with care. He would need to choose his position wisely
and swiftly for maximum tactical effect.

Inferno landed at the end
of the waterfall, just to the front of the Axalon. He clutched the moist dirt and transformed. In his ant mode he clung to
the cliffside and and spread his mandible's wide and began chomping out large chunks of earth.
He was burrowing under
the Axalon! "The Royalty will be most pleased!" he said out loud to himself.

Rhinox looked to Rattrap who was standing nearby. "Hit the terminal! Give us some
more shield support!", Rhinox called out to Rattrap.
Optimus Primal hit a few more keys and retracted the ceiling cache.
He turned to see Inferno's energy signature show up near the base. Primal generated a larger 3-dimensional hologram of the
Fire Ant. "Cancel that Rattrap! Take manual control of the west and southern autoguns. Take out Inferno before he gets underground!",
Primal commanded.
Optimus moved to a terminal, punching keys and flipping switches. "I'll give the shields as much
power as I can. Rhinox, redirect all other autoguns on Tarantulas and Waspinator. The spider's missiles are beginning to get
annoying."
Rhinox complied, and directed the northern autoguns to fire towards Tarantulas. The spider had good cover,
but he wasn't totally invulnerable. there. The eastern guns fired rapidly at Waspinator, coming closer and closer with each
shot.

exploded into bits within mere moments. Suddenly he was completely exposed. "Hee."

head rolled to the upon the ground. Little twitchy spider parts lied everywhere. Tarantulus was hurting bad. He immediately
summoned his spiderling drones to salvage him at once via mental link.
Inferno was still tunneling ferociously.

station. "I love shooters!" The screens snapped to life with images of the surrounding terrain and a targeting reticle. "Time
for some "Whack and Ant!"

Optimus Primal looked around, "Where's Dinobot?! He is still in the base right?"
Primal
hit a few keys and sent out a second Priority One call to Tigatron, Dinobot, and Cheetor. "Maximals we need you here at base.
We've got a full Predacon assault!"
Rhinox looked over to Optimus. "Tigatron's out there now.", Rhinox pointed to a
Maximal blip on the scanners near the base.
Primal sent a transmission to Tigatron. "Tigatron, good to see you. Help
Rattrap take out Inferno!"

Before Inferno could answer, one of Rattrap's
shots shattered the earth above them. The short tunnel, which at this point was so short that it could barely register as
a tunnel, collapsed. A shockwave from a nearby explosion made the earth tremble and and caused Inferno to tumbled from the
tunnel, smashing into Waspinator as he did so.
"No! I Must not fail the Royalty!" he yelled. He quickly transformed
in mid-air as they fell. His abdomen split apart and began to chop maddly into the air as he struggled to gain altitude. Finally,
he succeeded and snatched Waspinator by his ankle. "Come! We must fulfill the Queen's destiny!" He rocket's fumed with energy
and he flew upward rapidly with Waspinator in tow.

Rhinox turned two guns on Megatron and fired in rapid triple bursts. He then fired
two shots at Inferno.
"I don't see the point in this.", Optimus spoke up, "There is nothing to gain from this, other
than mindless battling."
Rhinox never looked at Primal, only kept operating the autoguns, "Yeah. This seems like a
waste of energon, but knowing Megatron...he's got some kind of plan."

Inferno dodged Rattrap's and Rhinox's fire
as best he could. Weaving in and out of energy blasts. He finally found his target: the barrel of the auto-cannon. He hovered
for a moment and lifted Waspinator so that his head was nearly level with his, "Your sacrifice will not be in vain!"
"FOR
THE COLONY!" He then chucked Waspinator into the auto-cannon, effectively clogging the barrel.....

Rattrap
pulled the trigger. The turret, stuffed with Waspinator, ballooned out in the barrel for a moment and then fired Waspinator
parts like buckshot into the wind.
Rattrap turned to Rhinox. "It's amazing really. You just can't miss him..."

Inferno had thought that that would've destroyed
the turret. No matter, whilst it was raining tiny insect bits, he quickly fired a ballistic ball of energy straight down into
the barrel, causing it to explode. He probably should have done that in the first place.
"My Queen!" he bellowed back
to Megatron, "I've disabled this turret!" he said proudly. Just then a stray missile fragged him and spiraled into the ground
with a hard thump!
Tarantulus, in stasis, his spiderling drones working feverlishly to piece him back together. Quickly
snatching up pieces wherever they fell...it wouldn't be long now....

do so.", Primal spoke up.
Rhinox spoke up, "Inferno's down."
"Rhinox, aim for Megatron. Rattrap, direct fire
to keep him down. Sentinel's holding strong for now.", Optimus stated.

about 5 miles from the axalon, the severed head of waspinator awoke
"ohhhh,
waspinator has a headache in his whole body" he looked down
"waspinator is only a head...!, waspinator must return
to megatron"
then he began hopping his head back to the battlefield "waspinator does not feel good"

A spiderling drone, reporting from afar, bumped
into Waspinator's bouncing head. It scanned and deemed it "useable". It attached itself to Waspinator's severed neck and proceeded
to scamper towards the battlefield with Waspy's head in tow.

Finally, Tarantulus awoke. His spiderling
had completed his repairs in record time. But something didn't feel right. He lifted his arms and looked at them. One seemed
just fine. The other...was green and yellow? "By the Pit! What is this!?"
He began to look around for an explanation
only to meet Waspinator, directly in front of his face. "Your in my personal space pest!" he screeched in disgust.

Waspinator's head with his arm. He then realized that he couldn't control the other arm....this meant....uh oh....

"You worthless insect!" Tarantulus was in a bind. He could no longer fight like this, nor could
he allow anyone to see him in this embarassing state.
"Come you simpleton, we must retreat to my lair!" With that,
he bagan wobbling off.

Optimus Primal sat down on the edge of the entrance shute. As the shute lowered, he flipped himself down slowly.
Then he dropped out, holding his legs onto one of the side bars. Upside-down Primal came out into view firing his rifle.
Optimus
fired three shots, then flipped on out, down to the still-lowering shute platform. Optimus kept firing rapidly, placing the
shield up for defense around his chest and upper legs as he landed.
Primal aimed for Megatron and kept firing.
"Rattrap!
Back him up!", Rhinox commanded to his friend as the rhino kept working the auto-gun controls.

bars. He aimed carefully and fired twice more at Megatron.

Without warning, the earth
trembled and a monster from the depths erupted from it's surface. Inferno was back! His sudden demise was merely a ploy used
to tunnel under the Axalalon, only this time he succeded.
He burst from his tunneling from behind Optimus Primal and
Rattrap, "Inferno, TERRORIZE!" and transformed. "Filthy Maximal furballs! You will both burn in the name of The Royalty!"
As heavy metal guitar solos ripped in the background, he aimed his flamethrower with a giant toothy grin and fired! "AHAHAHAHA!
BURN! BUUURRRRRNNN!"

As flame erupted around Primal's transmetal body, he was
thankful that he wasn't all fur and tendons anymore. The flame hurt and charred his back, but it wouldn't be near the trouble
it could have been.
Primal turned and tackled Inferno through the fire. Optimus stuck his rifle's muzzle up under Inferno's
chin as the two hit the ground. Primal stood over Inferno.
"You've got two options. One, loose your head. Or. Two,
drop the weapon and back away.", Optimus suggested.

"Ahahaha.....Haha...
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! FOOL! Thw will of The
Royalty must be done!" Inferno screamed back at Optimus Primal, not caring for what the reprucussions may be.
"Have
no fear, Cheetor is here!" came a familiar young voice. "Sorry it took so long for me to get back from patrol. Depth Charge
thought he scanned something interesting in the ocean. More like boring." he said with a childish smile.
He turned
towards the Predacons, "Cheetor! MAXIMIZEGRRRAAAHH!" Cheetor transformed! Cheetor was by far, the fastest mech here when he
had his turbo rockets activated. "Lets see how they like this cat!"
He ran forward, clasping his hands together and
firing beams of energy towards Megatron!

problem Big Bot, I'm just sorry I didn't get here sooner!" replied Cheetor as he fired consistently at the Predacon forces.
Especially at Megatron.

Rhinox
redirect some of the weaponry's energy to the shields. He then set the auto-guns to target Pred-Only Signatures. Rhinox stood
up, picked up his trusty Chaingun O' Doom and jumped down the entrance shute.
Rhinox landed with a powerful thud. He
immediately took aim at Megatron's surroundings, firing at him in the attempt to pin him down to one spot.

With Inferno finally dispatched, and the now mutant gestalt
Tarantulus and Waspinator retreating, the Maximals seemed to be gaining the upper hand.
High above a regal screech
of avian nature came echoing through the battleground. Airrazor was here! She dove with great velocity, "Airrazor, Maximize!"
She transformed in the midst of her dive and peppered the Predacons with her rapid-fire wrist arrows.

Optimus Primal jumped up, flipping his feat around to form
his hoverboard.
"Rhinox, Rattrap stay here!"
Primal took off, "Maximals! Advance!"
Rhinox kept his aim
steady as he could to keep Megatron from going anywhere as Optimus led the charge.
Primal spoke up to Airazor and Cheetor,
"Cheetor! Airazor! Flank Megatron! Help Rhinox keep him pinned!"

Rhinox kept his aim steady and
angled it to give Primal a wider range of movement.

Airrazor swooped in and continued rapid-fire of her wrist arrows towards Megatron. She spared
a wrist towards Black Arachnia and opened for on her as well, careful not to let the spider roam unspoken for.
She
flew over to flank the Predacons, keeping an ever-wary optic for any other Predacon that might show up out of nowhere, dramatically
and with heavy metal guitar solos blaring as they made their entrance....

fired at point blank range hit him in the knee. "Arrrg!"
"Ya'll talk to much too!" Rattrap said, from his nearby cover.

Primal flipped himself over in
mid-air, tryign to gain a good bead on Megatron. And thanks to Rattrap he had it. Primal spun sideways and fired two shots
towards Megatron's chest.

Airrazor flew over to Optimus
and covered him with a genius aeral formation. She began using her wrist-arrows wisely now, whenever a shot cames toward them
she would precisely fire and detonate the shot before it reached them.
"Be careful Optimus!" She yelled as her divine
eyesight scanned for anything and everything that was a threat.
